2. Earn 15,000 Club Carlson Points at Park Inn
Link: Park Inn 15,000 Club Carlson Points Promotion
Link: US Bank Club Carlson Card
When you stay at any Park Inn hotel in the US, Canada, or Latin America, through December 31, 2015, you’ll earn 15,000 bonus Club Carlson points.
That’s enough for an award night at Club Carlson Category 1 or Category 2 hotel! You must have a Club Carlson loyalty account (free to join!) and register for the promotion. Each member can only receive the bonus 1 time.
This is an easy way to earn bonus points if you have a stay at a Park Inn hotel coming up through the end of the year.
And if you have the US Bank Club Carlson card, you’ll earn 30 Club Carlson points per $1 spent on your stay (10 Club Carlson points per $1 spent for having the card and 20 Club Carlson points per $1 spent plus 35% bonus points for having Club Carlson Gold elite status, which comes with the card)!
3. Targeted: Get 50% More Points When You Transfer AMEX Membership Rewards Points to Starwood
Via The Points Guy, folks who were targeted can transfer their AMEX Membership Rewards points to Starwood to receive 500 Starwood points for every 1,000 AMEX Membership Rewards points through October 31, 2015.
The normal transfer ratio is 333 Starwood points per every 1,000 AMEX Membership Rewards points. So this bonus makes it a 2:1 transfer for the month of October.
This might be a good deal for folks who have a specific use in mind for their Starwood points, like:
- Award stays in great locations like here in the US, at a top US beach, the Caribbean and Mexico, Europe, Central and South America, or Asia and Australia
- Free 5th night on award stays
- Cash & Points to stretch your points even further
- Transfer to ~30 airline partners
- Nights & Flights (which you could use for a Disney World visit!)
- Redeem for an airline ticket with no blackout dates
- SPG Moments like golf lessons with a pro player, or VIP access to Broadway shows
I wouldn’t recommend transferring unless you have a specific use in mind. That said, this can be a great deal for some folks.
Remember, once you transfer AMEX Membership Rewards points to Starwood (or other partners), you can NOT transfer them back!
As always, do the math before you transfer to make sure this is a good deal for you!
