Via Doctor of Credit, the Delta Reserve® Credit Card from American Express now has the highest sign-up bonus it’s ever had!
You’ll earn 40,000 Delta miles and 10,000 Medallion Qualifying Miles when you spend $3,000 within the first 3 months of account opening. That’s much higher than any previous offer I’ve seen for this card.
I’ll share the details of the increased offer on the AMEX Delta Reserve card. And help you decide whether it makes sense for you.
Emily and I don’t earn a commission for this deal, but we’re committed to sharing the best with our readers!
Best-Ever Offer With AMEX Delta Reserve

Previously, the best offer we’d seen for the AMEX Delta Reserve was 10,000 Delta miles and 10,000 Medallion Qualifying Miles after meeting minimum spending requirements.
But now, you can earn 40,000 Delta miles and 10,000 Medallion Qualifying Miles after spending $3,000 within the first 3 months of account opening. That’s the highest offer I’ve ever seen for this card!
You’ll also get:
- 2 Delta miles per $1 on Delta purchases
- 1 Delta mile per $1 on all other purchases
- If you spend $30,000 or more in a calendar year you receive 15,000 bonus miles and 15,000 Medallion Qualifying Miles. And if you spend $60,000+ in a calendar, you’ll earn another 15,000 bonus Delta miles and 15,000 Medallion Qualifying Miles
- Delta Sky Club access (primary cardholder only)
- Priority boarding
- Companion certificate each year (domestic coach or First Class round-trip ticket)
But the $450 annual fee is NOT waived the first year.
Is It Worth It?
Because the AMEX Delta Reserve card comes with a hefty $450 annual fee, it’s NOT for everybody!
But if you’re a big spender and want Delta elite status, this deal might make sense. Because you’ll earn Delta Silver elite status when you spend $60,000 in a calendar year.
With Silver elite status, you’ll get benefits like complimentary seat upgrades, an extra free checked bag, and a 25% mileage bonus for every flight.
This card is also useful for folks who want to access Delta airport lounges. Just remember, you’ll have to pay for any guests you bring along. You’ll pay $29 for the first 2 guests and $50 for each additional guest.
And don’t forget, there are plenty of other credit cards that have better lounge benefits than the AMEX Delta Reserve. Including The Platinum Card® from American Express, which gives you access to Delta lounges when you have a same-day Delta flight.
Note: You can only earn AMEX credit card sign-up bonuses once per lifetime. So if you’ve had this card before, you will NOT be eligible for the bonus again.Bottom Line
When you open the AMEX Delta Reserve, you’ll earn 40,000 Delta miles and 10,000 Medallion Qualifying Miles by spending $3,000 within the first 3 months of account opening. That’s the highest offer I’ve ever seen for this card!
But because of the $450 annual fee, I wouldn’t recommend opening this card unless Delta elite status is important to you. Because there are plenty of other cards with better benefits and similar or less costly annual fees.
We don’t earn a commission for this card, but we’ll always share the best deals!
