If you’re a foodie who spends a lot on groceries and dining and you prefer a straightforward cash back card instead of points, you either already have the Capital One® Savor® Cash Rewards Credit Card or you just don’t know about it.
The card comes with a $300 welcome bonus after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first three months And unlimited 4% cash back on dining and entertainment, 2% cash back at grocery stores, and 1% cash back on everything else. You can read the full review here.
Pretty mouth-watering benefits. But Capital One has added another food-oriented perk to the card. You can now receive a free Postmates Unlimited subscription, which means you can get free food delivery!
The information for the Capital One Savor Cash Rewards card has been collected independently by Million Mile Secrets. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.
I’ll give you the details.
Capital One Savor Now Offering Free Postmates Unlimited Plan
Postmates is similar to other apps like DoorDash or Grubhub that deliver food from local restaurants for a fee. Postmates charges a delivery fee of anywhere between $1.99 and $9.99, depending on which restaurant you choose.
However, you can purchase Postmates Unlimited for $9.99 and receive 1 month of free deliveries on orders of $15 or more. That also means you won’t ever pay surge prices when deliveries are in high demand. If you order often from Postmates, this plan is a no-brainer.
And if you’re a Capital One Savor cardholder, you can purchase Postmates Unlimited with your card and receive a statement credit reimbursing you for the expense. You can get every month free through December 2019. So that’s a potential savings of ~$120 ($9.99 per month X 12 months)! That alone makes up for the $95 annual fee if you were sure to use it.
The Capital One Savor also earns 4% on orders placed through Postmates, so you’ll get lots of cash back on your free deliveries!
I don’t use Postmates, but I’ve used DoorDash a few times. I think this is a really neat quirky benefit that we don’t see with other cards (though you can use the monthly Uber credit from The Platinum Card® from American Express for free Uber Eats orders).
Will you receive value from this unique new Capital One Savor benefit?
