    You can get a $100 Amazon digital gift card after spending $500 in purchases in the 1st 3 months of account opening your Discover It card.

    Note:   This offer is only for new cardholders. Discover It is a cash back card that gives you 1% back on all purchases and 5% back (up to $1,500 in purchases) on rotating categories every 3 months (registration required) which is similar to the Chase Freedom card.  So you can get up to $75 back each quarter!

    For example, you’ll earn 5% back on gas and ground transportation through March 31, 2015.

    But unlike the Chase Freedom, it’s 1 of a few no annual fee cards without foreign transaction fees! (Capital One no annual fee cards also have no foreign transaction fees.)  However, Discover isn’t as accepted at nearly as many places as Visa and MasterCard.

    Usually I prefer to collect miles & points, especially from cards with big sign-up bonuses worth much more than a $100 gift card to Amazon.

    But for folks who like the flexibility and ease of cash back, the Discover it Cash Back card is 1 to consider.  Especially for those 5% bonus categories!
