To add an authorized user or an employee card, you can call the number on the back of your AMEX Starwood card to add an authorized user. Or you can do it online.
Here’s how to add an additional user in 3 quick steps.Step 1. Log Into Your AMEX Account
Log into your American Express account and click the “Account Services” tab.Step 2. Manage Your Additional Cards
Next, go to “Card Management” and select “Add Employee Cards“ if you have the AMEX Starwood small business card.
If you’re adding an authorized user to the personal version of the card, you’ll click “Add Someone to Your Account.”
Step 3. Complete the Form
You can add an employee card by entering their name in the form.
Or if you’re adding a friend or family member as an authorized user to the personal version of the card, enter their name, social security number, and date of birth.
Keep in mind, the new cardholder must be 15 or older.
AMEX will NOT pull a credit report for your authorized user. Because the primary account holder is responsible for the charges.

And you have a similar option for AMEX small business cards. You can set a spending limit per billing cycle.
