    When it’s time for me to start planning (or daydreaming about) our next vacation, I typically value exploring a new place and/or visiting somewhere gorgeous where my wife, daughter and I can relax and enjoy a million-dollar view. Unfortunately, those views typically come with the price tag to justify them.

    That’s why I love saving my hotel points, especially Hilton Honors points, to redeem them for luxurious hotel stays with jaw-dropping views that I wouldn’t normally pay for out of pocket. It’s a good time to consider earning more Hilton points, because Amex is currently offering increased welcome bonuses on the Hilton cards:

    I’ll show you five Hilton hotels with great views you can book with points, a few of which I’ve had the privilege of visiting.

    1. Conrad Bora Bora Nui

    I had to start with the Conrad Bora Bora Nui, because this is my favorite hotel in the world — but I truly don’t think I’m biased. This property is absolutely gorgeous, largely due to the endless views of the Pacific Ocean offered to (nearly) every guest room.

    During our visit back in 2018, my wife and I stayed in an overwater villa with our own private pool. It was incredible. The view from our villa was of endless ocean, so we couldn’t actually see Bora Bora Mountain from our room. But that’s a tradeoff we were happy with, as some Bora Bora hotels offer beautiful mountain views at the expense of seeing the open ocean.

    If you want to visit this hotel, you can redeem 89,000 Hilton points per night for a standard room. And while the standard rooms are very nice, the most aspirational views will be from the Horizon View villas or the overwater villas, which will require a cash supplement. That being said, Bora Bora is a splurge-worthy bucket-list destination, so redeeming points for most of the cost is a killer option.

    2. Conrad Koh Samui

    The Conrad Koh Samui might be the single best hotel on this list because the standard room is a one-bedroom villa which includes a gorgeous, private infinity pool where you can waste the day away.

    I visited this hotel back in 2015 as part of my honeymoon, and because of that it will always be on my top hotels list. But objectively, guests love this five-star resort and nearly everyone raves about how every single villa is luxurious, private and just overall awesome.

    You can redeem just 95,000 Hilton points per night for this villa and enjoy absurd luxury in beautiful Thailand for nearly nothing out of pocket. Even better, the hotel’s dining outlets are reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. Order the Pad Thai from room service — you won’t be disappointed!

    Looking back at this photo of my lovely wife enjoying a glass of wine (compliments of the hotel because of our honeymoon) overlooking the “Five Islands” has me wanting to plan a trip back as soon as possible. If you ever get the chance to go, you won’t regret it. Did I mention the view?

    3. Hilton Seychelles Northolme

    Have you heard of the Seychelles? It’s a small island nation about 1,000 miles east of mainland Africa, and it’s absolutely fantastic. I had the privilege of visiting with my wife in 2017 and we loved adventuring around the small islands, seeing world-class beaches (seriously, check out Anse Lazio — my favorite beach on earth), and relaxing at the Hilton Seychelles Northolme to end our trip.

    Despite the hotel being relatively full, we had the main infinity pool to ourselves most days. The views were incredible, the service was fantastic and even the (included) breakfast was top notch. Hopefully we make it back to this amazing resort someday!

    Rates here are consistently more than $500 per night, so redeeming 95,000 Hilton points instead represents a great value. Some rooms come with private infinity pools, but we weren’t upgraded to one of those due to occupancy (although the reservations manager felt terrible and assured us we would have been upgraded had there been availability).

    4. Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund

    Shanghai might be the least beachy destination on this list, but the views are no less impressive. The posh Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund highlights the amazing views from nearly every room, with the entry-level rooms being “deluxe city view” rooms. From there, you can upgrade (or hopefully be upgraded to) to a river-view room.

    Rooms at the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai aren’t particularly cheap, though they might be the most reasonably priced of any hotel on this list. Depending on the season, you can still get great value from redeeming 80,000 Hilton points instead of paying the cash rates of $400 or more per night.

    5. Hotel Del Coronado

    Last but not least, the Hotel Del Coronado, Curio Collection (or “Hotel Del” as we San Diegans like to call it) is located on the lovely Coronado island near downtown San Diego. If you don’t have plans to travel around the world to any of the first four hotels, this beautiful hotel offers views of the Pacific Ocean. While you’ll hopefully love the view from your room, the whole property is situated right on gorgeous Coronado Beach, so lovely photo opportunities are always nearby.

    Especially because it’s only a ~20 minute drive from our house, I love visiting this hotel, Coronado Island and the beach. Standard room rewards start at 95,000 points, but I would check to make sure that you’re happy with the room you’re booking (as there are numerous different room types across the property, in multiple buildings).

    Bottom Line

    These are just five of the many amazing hotels with great views around the world you can book with Hilton Honors points, and I wholeheartedly recommend each and every one of them.
