Emily:   I had a couple of hours to kill at the Charlotte airport yesterday, so I decided to check out the NEW Minute Suites with my complimentary Priority Pass Select membership.  Until recently, there weren’t any Priority Pass lounge locations in the Charlotte airport, so this is exciting for folks who travel through there a lot!

You can get FREE access for an hour with your Priority Pass (worth $42!).  My Priority Pass Select membership comes with my Chase Sapphire Reserve card.  But there are other cards that can get you access for free, too!

Here’s our exclusive review of the double suite (thank you Aaron!) 🙂

Here’s more about my visit and why you should pop in to Minute Suites next time you’re at the Charlotte airport!

Minute Suites offers a quiet spot where you can work, relax, or grab a quick nap at the airport.  In Charlotte, they offer:

  • Private suite
  • Plenty of outlets
  • Secure Wi-Fi network
  • Regular size daybed / sofa to sleep or relax in
  • Desk and monitor / TV screen

Normally, Minute Suites charges $42 for a one-hour stay, with add-ons for additional time and showers (in certain locations).  But with a Priority Pass Select membership, you can get an hour access for free.

Don’t Spend $42 to Rent a Minute Suite When You Have Complimentary Priority Pass Select Membership!

Minute Suites also has locations in Atlanta, Dallas, and Philadelphia.  And you can get in free with your Priority Pass Select membership there, too!

Keep in mind, reservations can fill up quickly, so consider booking a spot in advance online.  And remember, this isn’t like a typical airport lounge – there are no free drinks or snacks!

Bonus:   If you’re breastfeeding, Minute Suites offers a free room to feed or pump for 30 minutes.  From their FAQ’s:

Do you offer an option for breastfeeding mothers?

– Yes!  Mothers who need to pump or breastfeed may utilize a suite with the first 30 minutes at no charge

It can be challenging to travel when you’re breastfeeding, so this is a terrific (free!) option for moms!

My Experience at Charlotte Minute Suites

The suites were quiet, comfortable, and very relaxing.  There’s a secure Wi-Fi network, a large flat screen TV, a desk on which to work, and a daybed with pillows and blankets.

The bed was long enough for me to lie down, but may not be large enough for people close to 6 feet tall.  Alexa is in the room and you can ask her to play relaxing music for you.

A Perfect Spot to Sneak in a Quick Snooze!

There are single suites, double suites, and 1 large suite that can fit up to 4 people.  You receive a set of pillows and blankets for each person.  And there’s a separate trundle bed that comes out from underneath the main sofa.

A desk is in the room so that you can get your work done, watch TV, or eat a meal!

I needed to charge some electronics, and I easily found 4 outlets.

I love that they include your own thermostat!

You can easily turn the lights off, have all of them on, or dim the lights as well.

I liked that the suites were almost soundproof.  But the Wi-Fi was slow at times.

This would be a good spot for folks who need a quiet spot to do work and make business phone calls, or if you just need a break from the crowded terminal.  And it’s perfect if you need a quick nap (or have a child who needs one!).

Where to Find the Minute Suites at the Charlotte Airport

Look for the main food court area.  Minute Suites is behind the sushi restaurant.

How to Get a Suite

Just show them your Priority Pass Select card, and they’ll reserve a room for you.

Pro Tip:   Try your best to reserve a suite online before your trip.  Rooms go fast!  I had to wait an hour for a room to open up, so book in advance.  See their FAQs for more info.

Solid review. I ate at the BBQ place next door before my suite became available. Then I spent a productive 45 minutes at the Charlotte lounge before my next flight. I used my PP card BUT my credit card was charged $45.05. Now I need to spend 45 minutes getting the charge reversed. Bummer!

That’s not the first time I’ve heard of someone being incorrectly charged for a Priority Pass visit. Very annoying!

Yup. And to make matters worse, Minute Suites refused to investigate and told me to contact the credit card company that provided the benefit. Instead I told the cc company to refuse the charge.

Can you bring a guest there?

Yes, you can! There’s a 4 person suite for larger families. And there are double suites for 2 people. But even the single suites can fit two people.

Thanks for the info!
Though I’m not sure how online reservation works in case of Priority Pass – I have even created a new user account, but there’s no option of PPS – they just show usual checkout screen with the total amount to be charged and ask for a credit card number…

I would think they would charge the credit card then credit the account when you show up for your stay. They took my credit card when I showed up but I wasn’t charged anything.
