Through November 9, 2018, Wyndham is running a deal where folks can earn double Miles & More miles (1,000 miles per stay) for up to 3 stays.  And their Masterpass promotion is still running through August 31, 2018.

Next Time You’re Staying at a Wyndham Hotel, Like the Wyndham New Yorker, Make Sure You’re Earning All the Bonus Points & Miles You Can!

Wyndham Miles & More Promotion

What’s the deal:   Earn double Miles & More miles (Lufthansa miles) per stay for up to 3 stays (3,000 miles total)

End date:   Register & book your stay by October 31, 2018

Travel dates:   Complete your stay by November 9, 2018

Important terms & restrictions:

  • You must have both a Wyndham and a Miles & More rewards account and you must set your earning preference to Miles & More miles instead of Wyndham points
  • You must register for the deal prior to completing your stay, and only the stays booked after you register will earn the bonus
  • A stay includes all consecutive nights at the same participating hotel, regardless of check-ins or check-outs
  • You must book directly through Wyndham (no 3rd-party sites like Expedia, Priceline, etc.) to qualify for the bonus

Good Deal or Not:   Miles & More miles (Lufthansa miles) can be useful for booking Star Alliance partner awards, but you’ll only be able to earn 1,000 Miles & More miles per stay for up to 3 stays.  And Miles & More miles expire 36 months after you earn them, regardless of whether or not you have any activity on the account (unless you have the co-branded Miles & More credit card or elite status with the Miles & More program).

So earning 3,000 Miles & More miles won’t be that useful unless you already have a stash of them you’re trying to add too.  For most folks the Wyndham Masterpass promotion is a better deal.

Hat tip:   Frequent Miler

Wyndham Masterpass Promotion

Important terms & restrictions:

  • You must create a Masterpass account (if you don’t already have one)

  • Award nights are NOT valid
  • Stays must be completed by September 1, 2018

Good Deal or Not:  This is a fantastic deal because any Wyndham hotel costs just 15,000 points per night.  So you’re basically getting a free night at the best Wyndham hotels in the world!

If you already have Wyndham hotel stays planned, taking advantage of this deal is a no-brainer.  And it could even be worth switching your hotel stays if you find a Wyndham location that fits your upcoming travel plans!

You can easily find a Wyndham hotel to book for $50 or less (but your stay will need to cost $25 or more (not including taxes & fees) to qualify for this promotion).  So after spending only $100 on 2 separate nights at a cheap Wyndham hotel, you could stay at an expensive hotel like The New Yorker, a Wyndham Hotel, for 15,000 Wyndham points!  Rooms there often sell for $400+!
