Via Deals We Like, WOW Air will begin 4 flights per week to Tel Aviv on September 12, 2017. This is great news, because it gives folks a budget option to reach the Middle East!
And flights are extremely cheap at the moment. I found round-trip coach flights from Boston to Tel Aviv in late October for $298 on WOW Air. The next cheapest flight is $626 on Air Canada.

I’ve written about WOW Air, Iceland’s budget airline. They’re a great option for no-frills flights. In my experience, the onboard service is really good!
The cheapest flights from the East Coast to Tel Aviv cost ~$149 one-way. And from the West Coast, the lowest fares are ~$199 one-way. That’s an excellent deal to Israel!
Note: WOW Air charges fees for any extras, like large carry-on bags and checked bags. You’ll even have to pay if you want to choose your own seat! So if you want to sit next to your travel buddies, you’ll need to pony up.While WOW Air isn’t for everyone, more travel options is always a good thing. And because WOW Air prices are so cheap, they will hopefully drive the prices of competitors down as well!
All Flights Route Through Iceland
No matter where you’re flying from, you WILL have a connection in Iceland, so your journey will NOT be a short one! You’ll have ~4 hours in Reykjavik if you’re flying from the West Coast, and ~13 hours in Reykjavik if you’re flying from the East Coast. And another couple of hours on the way back.
This might not be worth it for some. But folks with longer layovers can take the opportunity to explore a bit of Iceland. I highly recommend it!
WOW Air will fly to Tel Aviv on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday through October 2017. And Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday through March 2018.
Bottom Line
Having more options while traveling is always a good thing. And these new WOW Air flights to Tel Aviv give folks a cheap way to get to the Middle East!
Just remember, WOW Air charges fees for things like seat selection, large carry-on bags, and checked bags. You’ll get the best deal by packing light.
