If you’re planning a trip to Europe, you could get an excellent deal today!

Via The Flight Deal, you can fly from Chicago to several cities in Germany for as little as ~$485 round-trip in coach on Air Berlin.  Or fly round-trip between New York and Rome, or Miami and Vienna for under ~$550.

And folks in Los Angeles can fly to London round-trip in coach on Air New Zealand for just ~$491!

Amazing Deal – Fly Between Los Angeles and London, UK, for Under $500 Round-Trip in Coach

You can search for these fares using ITA Matrix or Google Flights, and book them directly through Air Berlin or Air New Zealand.

The sale fare on Air New Zealand is valid for today only, November 30, 2015.  And the Air Berlin deals likely won’t last long, either!

How To Get In on the Deal!

Here’s how to use Google Flights or ITA Matrix to find sale dates.

1.   Chicago to Germany

Fly Air Berlin between Chicago and these German cities starting at ~$485 round-trip in coach:

  • Berlin
  • Dusseldorf
  • Frankfurt
  • Munich
  • Nuremberg
  • Stuttgart

You have to buy your ticket at least 10 days prior to departure.  Travel dates are available between January and March 2016.

2.   New York to Rome

You can also book Air Berlin between New York and Rome very cheaply!  Round-trip coach flights are on sale for as little as ~$546.

There’s also a 10-day advance purchase requirement, and travel dates must be between January and March 2016.

Emily and I had an amazing time on our trip to Rome!  Check out our trip report to see what we did (and ate!).

3.   Miami to Vienna

Also with Air Berlin, you can fly round-trip in coach between Miami and Vienna starting at ~$542.

The same travel dates and 10-day advance purchase requirement apply.

4.   Los Angeles to London

Here’s a chance to save big on a route (and airline) you might not have considered to Europe.

Air New Zealand has a Cyber Monday sale today only.  You’ll get a $400 discount on any round-trip fare (coach, Premium Economy, or Business Class) from their US destinations.  That includes Los Angeles to London in coach for under $500!

Book by 11:59 pm Pacific Time today, November 30, 2015, to get in on the deal.  Travel dates vary depending on the destination, and there’s a 14-day advance purchase requirement.

Note:   You will NOT earn miles for these fares.

What If You’re Not in an Included City?

You can get to Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, or New York for less with British Airways Avios points.

British Airways Avios points are great for short-haul flights.  It only costs 4,500 British Airways Avios points 1-way in coach for flights less than 650 miles (until February 2, 2016), and 7,500 British Airways Avios points for flights up to 1,149 miles.

Or if you have the Southwest Companion Pass, you could fly to these cities very cheaply.  That’s because with the Companion Pass, your companion flies with you for almost free on both paid and award tickets.

Otherwise, you could try to find a cheap paid ticket from your home airport to 1 of the sale cities.  Always do the math to see if it’s worth it!

To find hotels that can be booked with points, I use Hotel Hustle (which even shows you if rooms are actually available!) or AwardMapper.

Remember, you can transfer flexible points like Chase Ultimate Rewards or American Express Membership Rewards to different hotel programs.

Bottom Line

Fly to Europe on Air Berlin for as little as ~$485 round-trip in coach!  There are excellent deals between Chicago and Germany, New York and Rome, and Miami and Vienna.

And folks in Los Angeles can fly to London on Air New Zealand for just ~$491.  But you’ll have to book by 11:59 pm Pacific Time today, November 30, 2015, because it’s a Cyber Monday deal.

This could be the perfect excuse for a European winter getaway!  Let me know if you book a ticket!
