My baby is 10 months old, and she’s been on 5 trips already thanks to credit card reward points!  She’s a champ eater, and a champ sleeper, but naps on the go are pretty hard for her.

She can’t nap in her stroller… she wants be looking around and taking everything in.  I would, too, if I were her.  That’s why I like to travel!  So I’m looking for ways to help my daughter sleep on the go.

It’s Nap Time for Arya, So How Can I Help Her Get the Sleep She Needs?

We considered staying in our hotel room around her nap schedule, but even then the hotel room is like a giant toy for her, waiting to be explored.  Despite her nap challenges, she was in a great mood and enjoyed her vacation as much as mom and dad.

And wearing her isn’t always an option (she still wants to look and see everything).

I’ve tried tying light swaddle blankets to her stroller, but she ends up just trying to play with them with her feet.  And they are very thin, so they let in a lot of light.  And I worry they do not let in enough air.

Is the SnoozeShade the Answer?

While doing some research online, I found SnoozeShade.  A mom in the UK designed a product that is supposed to minimize distractions and light while a child is in her stroller (or car seat or play yard).  It has a lot of positive reviews, so I am anxious to try it out.

SnoozeShade recommends the Plus or Deluxe Plus if your baby is 6 months +, as the two layer mesh system will allow for natural curiosity at that age!

Have You Tried the Snooze Shade?

I ordered both the SnoozeShade Plus and the SnoozeShade Deluxe Plus to see which one we like better, and will be sharing my experience in a future post.

Bottom Line

I would love if I can help my 10 month old daughter sleep more in her stroller.  The SleepShade seems like a promising solution to help her get some more zzz’s.  Have you tried the SnoozeShade?  What do you do to help your child sleep on the go?

Let us know how this works out! Travel shouldn’t have to end for any reason.

Yes, I’ll be writing another post about it in the future. I agree! We haven’t slowed down much. 🙂

If she is sleeping though the night and in good spirits during the day, don’t worry about naps. She will doze off when she needs to. Some children need naps and some don’t. Having five children myself, I will tell you that no child is the same so just go with the flow like you are doing. She is adorable and sounds like an easygoing baby.
