I took the Ice Bucket Challenge to help raise awareness for ALS.  ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a motor neuron disease.  In addition to donating to ALS, we’re also donating to CODR (Casa de Orientación y Desarrollo Real).

Ice Bucket Challenge

The ice water was refreshing in the Texas heat!

Emily and I are donating money to both ALS and CODR.  CODR is a group home for at-risk female students so they can attend university in a safe environment.  Emily volunteered at CODR in the Dominican Republic.

We were nominated by Mommy Points and now we’re inviting a few fellow miles & points bloggers to take the ALS ice bucket challenge!

Bottom Line

The Ice Bucket Challenge is a fun way to raise awareness about ALS.  And beat the Texas heat!

Please share the video to spread the word, but more importantly, share your generosity!
