Last-Minute Shopping?  Earn 1,500 Miles Through These Portals

If you’re not finished shopping for the holiday season, you can earn extra miles by shopping through these online portals!  Making online purchases through shopping portals is an easy way to earn bonus miles, points, or cash back.  Especially if you prefer online shopping like me!

1.   1,500 Alaska Airlines Miles

• Earn up to 1,500 Alaska Airlines miles, once per person
• Make $100 in qualifying purchases and receive 500 Alaska Airlines miles
• Make an additional $100 in qualifying purchases and receive 1,000 more Alaska Airlines miles
• Shipping and taxes do not qualify as part of the spending requirement
• Gift cards and other cash equivalents are not eligible purchases
• Offer expires December 21, 2016, at 11:59 pm Eastern Time

2.   1,500 American Airlines Miles

• Earn up to 1,500 American Airlines miles, once per person
• Make $100 in qualifying purchases and receive 500 American Airlines miles
• Make an additional $100 in qualifying purchases and receive 1,000 more American Airlines miles
• Shipping and taxes do not qualify as part of the spending requirement
• Gift cards and other cash equivalents are not eligible purchases
• Offer expires December 20, 2016, at 11:59 pm Eastern Time

3.   1,500 United Airlines Miles

• Earn up to 1,500 United Airlines miles, once per person
• Make $100 in qualifying purchases and receive 500 United Airlines miles
• Make an additional $100 in qualifying purchases and receive 1,000 more United Airlines miles
• Shipping and taxes do not qualify as part of the spending requirement
• Gift cards and other cash equivalents are not eligible purchases
• Offer expires December 20, 2016, at 11:59 pm Eastern Time

And remember, these bonus miles are on top of the regular rewards you’ll earn by shopping through the portal and from your credit card.

So you can stack these portal bonuses with the current Chase Freedom 5X bonus categories (department stores, drug stores, and wholesale clubs).  Or the current Discover it Cash Back 5% cash back categories (Amazon, department stores, and Sam’s Club).

For example, you could shop at Macy’s through the American Airlines portal, and earn:

• 3 American Airlines miles per $1
• 500 American Airlines miles for spending $100
• 1,500 American Airlines miles for spending $200
• 5X points or 5% back by using your Chase Freedom or Discover it Cash Back

Or, you could shop at Kohl’s through the Alaska Airlines portal, and earn:

• 2 Alaska Airlines miles per $1
• 500 Alaska Airlines miles for spending $100
• 1,500 Alaska Airlines miles for spending $200
• 5X points or 5% back by using your Chase Freedom or Discover it Cash Back
