There’s another massive offer available on the personal airline credit card, the United Club℠ Infinite Card. With it, you can earn a 100,000-mile welcome offer after you spend $5,000 in the first three months from opening the account. This offer is good through Sept. 30, 2020.
You can apply for the United Club Infinite card here.
This card replaced the old United Club Card and has a stack of new benefits to go along with its United Club airport lounge access. You can read our full United Club Infinite card review here.
United Club Infinite card current offer
One of the most attractive parts of signing up for the United Club℠ Infinite Card is its huge 100,000 mile welcome bonus.
On average, you can get 1.3 cents per mile in value from United miles, so this 100,000-mile bonus could be worth $1,300 or even more if you’re booking a flight in business or first class. And it’s not hard to accumulate the miles you need for these redemptions because you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to United at a 1:1 ratio. For inspiration on how to get great value from this bonus, check out the best use of United miles — for instance, you’d almost have enough miles to fly round-trip to Europe in United business class with the miles from this bonus!
In addition to the card’s big intro bonus you’ll earn United miles at the following rates:
- 4x miles on United purchases
- 2x miles on dining
- 2x miles on all other travel
- One mile per dollar on everything else
The United Airlines credit card has a higher $525 annual fee you’d expect to see with this type of card. That’s because it comes with a host of benefits.
When you use the United Club Infinite to pay for your Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fee, you’ll be reimbursed for the expense (worth up to $100). And it also comes with two free checked bags for the cardholder and one companion on the same reservation when you pay for the flight with your card. Cardholders also get Premier Access (priority check-in, boarding and baggage handling), Hertz rental car status, no foreign transaction fees and 25% off eligible inflight purchases.
The United Club membership this card comes with normally costs $650 a year or slightly less if you have United Premier Platinum status or higher. So if you usually purchase an annual United Club membership, it makes sense to get this card to save money, get the extra perks and earn a nice intro bonus. This membership allows you to bring two adult guests or one adult guest and any dependent children along with you into the lounge. To access United Club lounges, you need to be traveling with United or an eligible partner that day.
This card can also be a decent substitute for having entry-level United Airlines status because having it will get you access to more United award flights (you also get this with any level of United status). This can be invaluable when your travel plans aren’t flexible. But if you happen to have United status having the United Club Infinite card will get you access to complimentary Premier upgrades on award tickets. So it also can be a good card for anyone who frequently travels with United.
The United Club Infinite card is subject to the Chase 5/24 rule, so you won’t be eligible if you’ve opened five or more cards from any bank in the past 24 months. You also aren’t eligible if you currently have any version of the United Club card or have earned a welcome bonus from any version of the United Club card in the past 24 months.
