Credit cards come with amazing perks these days.  You can get free lounge access, Uber credits, and cash back onto your credit card statements.  Several travel credit cards like the Chase Sapphire Reserve® include a statement credit for the application fee for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck (worth up to $100.)  Lots of credit cards offer this benefit, so it’s worth checking to see if you have any unused credits that you can regift to friends & family.

Since I can’t use all of the Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fee credits, I’ve given them to friends and family.  My partner got Global Entry, and so did my daughter.  My mom now has Global Entry, and so does my cousin.

Gift Your Global Entry Credit Card Benefit If You Won’t Be Using It

The cost to apply for Global Entry is $100, and the cost to apply for TSA PreCheck is $85.  Both of these programs last 5 years.  Getting TSA PreCheck or Global Entry is worth it.

I love not having to stand in long lines and go through the hassle of removing my shoes and laptop for every trip. The application fee credits are transferrable, but you have to provide your credit card information to them (or fill out the application payment section for them.)

The Best Credit Cards That Include TSA PreCheck or Global Entry Application Fee Credits

My favorite credit card that includes a statement credit for the application fee for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck is the Chase Sapphire Reserve®  I have this credit card, and it’s one of the most used credit cards in my wallet!

Another great credit card to consider is the The Platinum Card® from American Express.  Check out the full list of credit cards that include TSA PreCheck or Global Entry perks, because you may already have a credit card in your wallet and not realize it!

Does the CSR card give you the credit annually? I believe that the Amex Plat. card does it once every 4 years.

Hi Martine! It’s every 4 years on the Chase Sapphire Reserve as well.

Thanks! That’s what I thought.

Does the CSR card give this credit annually? I know Amex Plat. does it once every 4 years.

I have a Global Entry or TSA Pre-check on my IHG Premier Card. My husband is an authorized user and has his own card. Can we get the $100 credit once or twice (his card & mine)?

Hi Rene! For this card, you’d only get the credit one time per account every 4 years. So you’d only get it on one of your cards.
