The US Travel Association runs Daily Getaways, a 5-week long promotion, every spring.  Each day, they offer a different travel discount deal, like hotel points, vacation packages, and theme park tickets.

Today at 1:00 pm Eastern Time, you can buy 10,000 Best Western points for $55.  That’s enough for a night at a lower-category Best Western hotel.

In my full review of this Daily Getaways deal, I found a way to save ~$59 on a hotel near Disneyland.

You can purchase a maximum of 5 packages per loyalty account number.  If you don’t have a Best Western account, it’s free to join.

And you can redeem the points for stays at any Best Western hotel.  They don’t have an award chart, so to see how many points you’ll need for a particular hotel, you’ll have to make a test reservation on the Best Western site.

Or use Award Mapper to see Best Western hotel prices in a specific location.

Do the math to see if this deal makes sense for you.  Often, Best Western hotels are inexpensive, so it could be better to pay cash.

Interested? Set an Alert

These deals sell out quickly.  So set a reminder if you’re interested in buying!  There are only 835 packages available.

Let me know if you buy points and how you’ll use them!

@Bill from Maine – Thanks for sharing your experience!

Bill from Maine

I bought 10,000 points last year to round off my account and the points were there three days later.

@Ric – I just heard from a friend who bought the Choice hotels deal on Monday. The points posted to their account yesterday. That said, there are no guarantees other deals will post as quickly!

Interesting for redeeming for my upcoming LONDON trip in 2 weeks but they say it takes 10-15 business days for the points to post into my account..that’s not good. Do you have previous experience on how long it really takes?
