Good news for anyone who loves earning and using United Airlines miles.  If you’ve got an electronics purchase coming up, today could be the day to pull the trigger!

Today only, August 1, 2018, you can earn 6 United Airlines miles per $1 spent on Apple purchases made through United Airlines’ shopping portal.

Calling All Apple Diehards!  Today’s the Day to Earn LOTS of Bonus United Airlines Miles for Your Apple Purchases!

Bonuses like these don’t come around often.  Normally you get just 1 United Airlines mile per $1 at Apple.  So if you were planning on purchasing something at Apple anyway, this is a great opportunity!  Because these bonus miles can really add up.

Click this link to be directed to the deal.

In addition to the increase in the number of bonus miles you’ll earn, this deal coincides (and stacks!) with United Airlines’ back-to-school shopping portal promotion.

With the back to school promotion, valid through August 19, 2018, at 11:59 pm Eastern Time, you’ll earn a one-time bonus of up to 3,000 United Airlines miles on qualifying purchases made through United Airlines’ shopping portal or from purchases made through United Airlines’ in-store offers.

  • Spend $150+, earn 500 bonus United Airlines miles
  • Spend $350+, earn 1,500 bonus United Airlines miles
  • Spend $600+, earn 3,000 bonus United Airlines miles

You can find the details of this offer here.

I hate to admit it, but spending $600+ at Apple is pretty darn easy.  So again, I’d recommend getting your gadget shopping done today, to maximize the number of bonus United Airlines miles you earn!

If you’re outside NY/NJ and in a state that charges sales tax, you can save more money — i.e., do better — if you buy your Apple equipment through Adorama or B&H Video.

In the San Francisco Bay Area, for instance, state & local tax rates (in total) vary from 8.5% to 9.25%. On a MacBook Pro purchase of, say, $3500, that’s $300–325.

So if you buy direct from Apple through this United promotion, sure, you get the miles….but they cost you an extra $300–325. Worth it?
