About 21% of all Marriott hotels are moving up 1 category.  This means they will cost 5,000 more points per night.  And 20 Ritz-Carlton hotels will cost 10,000 more points per night.

I had a cat 3 hotel booked for 4 nights in August and it changed to a cat 4. The reservation now says I need 80K points instead of 60K. Do I need to worry, since a cert for 60K points was ordered when I originally reserved.
