About 21% of all Marriott hotels are moving up 1 category. This means they will cost 5,000 more points per night. And 20 Ritz-Carlton hotels will cost 10,000 more points per night.
However, ~6% of Marriott hotels will cost fewer points.
Many Marriott and Ritz-Carlton hotels are changing categories tomorrow, April 8, 2014.
