With this offer, you can earn a bonus for adding authorized users to your AMEX Hilton cards by September 30, 2017.
Folks with the AMEX Hilton card will earn:
- 5,000 bonus Hilton points per authorized user who spends $500 within 3 months, up to a total of 4 bonuses or 20,000 bonus Hilton points total
And those with the AMEX Hilton Surpass card can earn:
- 10,000 bonus Hilton points per authorized user who spends $1,000 within 3 months, up to a total of 4 bonuses or 40,000 bonus Hilton points total
Remember, American Express requires the Social Security Number of any authorized user you add. So you will NOT be able to add your pet iguana. 😉
Be Careful When Adding Authorized Users
Adding an additional cardholder to your account isn’t without risk. You’ll be fully responsible for any charges they make, so be sure to only add folks you completely trust.
That said, your authorized user could potentially get a credit score boost if your credit is good. Plus, being an authorized user doesn’t prevent you from earning the card’s sign-up bonus in the future.
Just remember to carefully consider whether your authorized users will apply for Chase cards in the future. Especially if they’re new to miles and points!
Because authorized user accounts WILL count toward Chase’s “5/24 rule.” So if the authorized user has opened ~5 or more credit cards (from any bank) in the past 24 months (excluding certain business cards), they’re unlikely to get approved for most Chase cards.
Want More Hilton Points?
There are lots of ways to earn Hilton points. Including the no-annual-fee AMEX Hilton, or the AMEX Hilton Surpass card.
Or, you can transfer other miles & points to Hilton. AMEX Membership Rewards points, Virgin Atlantic miles, and Hawaiian Airlines miles transfer to Hilton at a ratio of 2:3.
