Normally, round-trip coach award flights to Europe cost 60,000 United Airlines miles.

But with this deal, you’ll only pay 45,000 United Airlines miles for a round-trip coach award ticket from the mainland US, Alaska, & Canada to Europe!

You must book your tickets by June 28, 2016, at 11:59 pm Central Time.  And the sale is valid for travel from August 23, 2016, through March 31, 2017.

Only flights operated by United Airlines are included in the sale.

And unfortunately, it isn’t great for holiday travel.  Because there are blackout dates between December 15, 2016, and January 8, 2017.

The discount will also work on open-jaw tickets.  You can read my post about using British Airways Avios points for one-way flights within Europe.

And don’t forget, when you’re a Chase United Explorer cardholder you can access more available award seats compared to non-cardholders.

Earn More United Airlines Miles

Through June 30, 2016, you’ll earn 50,000 United Airlines miles with the Chase United Explorer card when you meet the minimum spending requirements.

And another 5,000 United Airlines miles when you add an authorized user and make a purchase in the first 3 months of opening your account.

Plus, you’ll get a $50 statement credit after your first purchase.

Check out my review of the card and my guide to earning and using United Airlines miles!

Remember, you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points at a 1:1 ratio from the Chase Sapphire Preferred, Ink Plus or (no longer offered) Ink Bold to United Airlines miles.

Let me know if you book an award ticket to Europe!

Those tickets are gone, I went online immediately after I got email from United.

I checked FLL-FRA tickets were there for 22,500 miles each way. This was for Sept 13-27th. Came back about an hour later and tickets were gone. Also email said tickets had to be purchased by June 18th for discount. Had to be round trip.

So I dont know where you got info cause I’m right. And I spent about 1.5 hours on other searches to Europe ….

IIRC this prohibits stopovers in the US, so no free one-ways (if enforced). Not much of a deal if one always uses a free one-way (as I do).
