Via Mommy Points, Priority Club released their new PointsBreak list for hotels.  Hotels on the PointsBreak list cost only 5,000 points for a night (the regular rate is 10,000 to 50,000 points)!

Priority Club hotels include Candlewood Suites, Crowne PlazaHoliday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Hotel Indigo, Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts, and Staybridge Suites brand hotels.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any hotels which fit in with my travel plans, but perhaps you’ll find something useful – especially over Thanksgiving!

You can get Priority Club points by:

Usually, transferring points from Chase Ultimate Rewards to Priority Club is not the best value, but it certainly could make sense for hotels on the PointsBreak list.  If you’re not averse to using the cash and points trick, you can use the cash and points trick to buy Priority Club points and then get a statement reimbursement of 1 cent per Ultimate Rewards points.  This is a better value than redeeming Ultimate Rewards points directly for Priority Club points, and I’ll post more on it soon.

Don’t count on all the hotels on the PointsBreak list being available through December 10, 2012, because hotels may sell out and can be removed from the list at any time.

It doesn’t hurt to make a booking using points, because you can usually cancel them without a penalty (but read the cancellation policy before booking).

Hi Daraius,

I was trying to see if Hawaii resort is available. I tried it with rewards night. It came up sold out. Then it said if your date is flexible check calendar, the calendar show availability. But I can’t book it. Is it because I have no points or because I am doing something wrong . I am check only for future trip. Thanks

@leslie – I don’t believe there are any hotels in Hawaii on the PointsBreak list for 5,000 points. There likely isn’t award availability if you can’t find it while searching with the rewards night option. You can try searching day-by-day to see if there is a particular day which is sold out.

Thanks for posting Darius!!! My anniversary is in November and was able to book a hotel night for me and my wife for 5k points. Gotta love it man!!! Can’t believe they actually had a property on the Points Break here in Denver Colorado.

@David Gutierrez – That’s great. Happy Anniversary!

Does the annual free night from the Chase PC card ever expire or could I build those up potentially? =o

@Marisa R – You’re welcome! Glad you found it useful.

@Corey – You have to use them within 12 months from issue.

Perfect timing… Was able to change a 25K reservation for 5K in San Diego. Thank you so much!
