All 3 Southwest cards earn 2 points per $1 spent on Southwest, hotel partners, car rental partners, and points purchases. And 1 point per $1 spent on everything else.

With the Southwest Companion Pass a friend or family member flies with you for (close to) free for up to 2 years! Emily and I fly Southwest almost exclusively within the US.

You need 110,000 Southwest points in a calendar year to earn the Companion Pass. And the sign-up bonus you earn with the Chase Southwest cards counts.
If you sign-up for 2 cards and earn 50,000 points each, you’ll have 104,000 Southwest points (100,000 points in sign-up bonuses + 4,000 points from minimum spending). Which gets you most of the way there!

Flights will cost 70 to 80 Southwest points per $1. So with 110,000 Southwest points you can get $1,571 in free travel at 70 points per $1. But because your companion flies with you for (almost) free, you’ll get double the value (worth $3,142).
