I’m lucky enough to be able to sleep anywhere! But if you have trouble sleeping on planes or on long car rides, there’s a new product to take a look at.
Million Mile Secrets reader David sent us an email to let us know about a new travel pillow called NodPod. It’s designed to keep your head in a comfortable position when you sleep upright. So you don’t have to worry about falling asleep on your neighbor!
There’s currently a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for the product. And so far, the project has received nearly 10X the initial fundraising goal!
I’ll explain how you can get a NodPod!

The NodPod pillow was invented by a frequent traveler. It has a unique design compared to other travel pillows that go behind your neck.
The NodPod connects to your seat and the memory foam pillow rests under your chin to support your head while you sleep upright. The idea is to have your head and neck at a similar angle to how you sleep in bed.It would be useful for long plane or train rides. Or for overnight flights where you hope to get a little sleep before you arrive.
Here’s How You Can Get One!
If you’re interested in buying a NodPod, you can contribute to the Kickstarter campaign. A few packages are already sold out. But here are a few options still available:
- $32 for 1 NodPod
- $35 for 1 NodPod for you and 1 NodPod sent to a US soldier
- $46 for 2 NodPods
All packages come with free shipping in the US. There’s no word on how long it will take to get one because they still need to be manufactured.
But it’s always good to see new ideas. And to support folks who are starting them, especially if this is something you’ll use a lot!
