The Best Value Is to Purchase 70,000 American Airlines Miles and Get 35,000 Bonus Miles

While buying 70,000 miles will give you the best value, it’s still pricey!  The 105,000 American Airlines miles (70,000 miles purchased + 35,000 bonus miles) you’ll receive will cost ~$2,000.

That said, if you’re close to booking the award flight of your dreams and need a few more points this could be a good deal.  Keep in mind, the maximum miles you can purchase is 100,000 American Airlines miles per year.
