5.   Southwest Adds Non-Stop Routes Including New Destination, Liberia, Costa Rica

According to Deals We Like, Southwest is adding more non-stop routes, including their newest destination, Liberia, Costa Rica.

Starting October 15, 2015, they’ll add non-stop service between Houston (Hobby) and:

On November 1, 2015, Southwest will begin flying non-stop between:

Fly Southwest to Liberia, Costa Rica, and Stay at the Andaz Peninsula Papagayo Resort

Other new non-stop routes include Akron / Canton to Las Vegas (starting November 15, 2015) and Orange County / Santa Ana to Kansas City and St. Louis (from November 22, 2015).

Note:   Some of the international routes don’t yet have government approval.

I love it when Southwest adds new cities and better routings!  Even though they recently made changes to their award program, Southwest is still my favorite airline for domestic travel.

Which New Southwest Flights Will You Take?

That’s because with the Southwest Companion Pass, your companion travels with you for almost free on paid and award tickets.  So it’s like flying 2-for-1!

All 3 Chase Southwest cards currently have an increased sign-up bonus of 50,000 Southwest points after completing minimum spending.

This makes it easier to earn the Southwest Companion Pass, because the sign-up bonus counts toward the 110,000 Southwest points required in a year to qualify.

Remember, Southwest recently opened their schedule through January 4, 2016, so you can book holiday travel now!
