You can earn 1,000 American Airlines bonus miles for completing at weekend stay at participating Starwood hotels in North and Latin America by January 31, 2016.  But availability for this promotion is limited.

You must stay at least 2 nights and enroll in Starwood’s Airline Direct Deposit program to earn the bonus miles.  Starwood has great participating hotels in popular tourist spots like Buenos Aires, Cancun, Florida, and Punta Cana.

And if you pay with your Starwood Preferred Guest from American Express personal or small business card, you’ll earn 2 Starwood points per $1 spent on your stay.

This deal should keep your American Airlines miles from expiring for another 18 months.  However, be sure you compare prices before you book!
