Via FlyerTalk, you can fly from Los Angeles to Tel Aviv, Israel for ~340 euro or ~$480 in coach.  You have to book this on wideroe (a European booking site).  I was able to find the cheaper fares up to June 2014, after which the price started rising.  But I didn’t check every month, so please share your finds in the comments!

The cheap rate appears to be only for flights on US Air flights from Los Angeles.  I don’t expect these fares to last long, so book soon if these interest you!

That said, do NOT book non-refundable hotel or other travel plans until you receive a confirmation WITH an e-ticket number.  And don’t call the airline!

Use a card which doesn’t charge a foreign transaction fee like the Chase Sapphire Preferred or Barclays Arrival card to avoid the ~3% foreign transaction fee because wideroe is an European site.

Bottom Line

$470 for a round trip from Los Angeles to Tel Aviv, could be useful for some!
