Only new customers can get the extra miles, and you have to sign-up through Frequent Flyer Bonuses’ links.
The 1st 50 folks who book a hotel will get the bonus. But if less than 50 register and book, the promotion will end on February 28, 2015. Your stay can be up to a year from now.
I like the idea of getting 2,000 to 3,000 miles for just 1 night in a hotel! Let’s see if this is a good deal.
How Does It Work?

The great thing about this promotion is that you’ll earn the bonus miles on top of the regular miles and other bonuses you’d earn with Kaligo.
You might earn enough points from 1 stay to book a short-haul flight using British Airways Avios points. Or boost your American Airlines account balance to get you a lot closer to the award ticket you’ve been saving for.
I like Kaligo because you can earn airline miles at chain and independent hotels. But you won’t earn hotel points or elite stay credits, and your elite status may not be recognized.
While some folks might prefer booking directly through a chain hotel (to earn hotel points and elite stay credits), Kaligo could be a great deal for folks who stay at independent hotels that don’t have a loyalty program.
With Kaligo, you can earn 2,800 American Airlines miles for a night at the Radisson Chicago O’Hare on March 2, 2015. It costs $139 per night plus taxes, or ~$158 total.
If you stacked this with the Kaligo American Airlines bonus, you’d earn a total of 4,800 American Airlines miles just for 1 night (2,800 miles directly from Kaligo + 2,000 miles from the Frequent Flyer Bonuses promotion).
That’s a great deal! I checked Kayak to compare prices and the cheapest rate I found was through HotelClub for $135 plus taxes, or ~$153.
I’d gladly pay an extra $5 to get 4,800 American Airlines miles!
But Kaligo’s prices aren’t always this competitive. And their selection of hotels is sometimes limited. So shop around before you book!
If you book, remember to use a credit card that earns bonus points for travel, like the Chase Sapphire Preferred. Or redeem miles for 2.1% back when you use your Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite Mastercard.
You can earn 2,000 American Airlines miles or 3,000 British Airways Avios points on your 1st hotel booking with Kaligo.
Sign-up for the promotion through Frequent Flyer Bonuses website. Only the 1st 50 bookings will qualify, so I don’t think this will last very long. Book by February 28, 2015, for stays up to a year from now.
You can stack this bonus with the other promotions Kaligo is currently running. You might earn a lot of miles just from 1 night!
That said, shop around and compare prices before you book with Kaligo, because their prices aren’t always competitive.
