Final Call for the Limited-Time AMEX Starwood Business Card Offer

Usually, the bonus on the AMEX Starwood small business card is 25,000 Starwood points.  So the increased 35,000-point offer is an unusually great deal.   Especially because you can get a LOT of value from Starwood points!

Apply by March 28, 2018 (tomorrow!), and you can earn 35,000 Starwood points after spending $7,000 on purchases within the first 3 months of opening the AMEX Starwood small business card.

You’ll also get:

The $95 annual fee is WAIVED the first year.

And don’t forget, AMEX small business cards will NOT appear on your personal credit report.  So getting this card will NOT count toward your Chase “5/24” limit!

Note:   You’re only eligible to earn an AMEX bonus once per card per lifetime.  But keep in mind, if you only have had the AMEX Starwood personal card, you can still earn the bonus on the small business version, or vice versa.  Because the personal and small business versions of the card are considered different card products.

Great Ways to Use Starwood Points

Starwood points are valuable because, aside from staying at Starwood hotels, they’re hard to earn.

There are also LOTS of great ways to use them, like for inexpensive hotel stays using the Cash + Points perk, or transferring them to airline partners like American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, British Airways, and more, for Big Travel.

With the Marriott-Starwood merger, you can also instantly convert Starwood points to Marriott points at a 1:3 ratio.  Which gives you even MORE ways to use the welcome bonus!

Bottom Line

With the best-ever offer on the AMEX Starwood small business card, you can earn 35,000 Starwood points after meeting minimum spending requirements.  But you must apply by tomorrowMarch 28, 2018, to take advantage of this great limited-time deal!

With the increased bonus, you can easily get $1,000 (or more) worth of travel!  And because of the Marriott – Starwood merger, I’m not sure how long this card will be around.  So if you’ve been thinking about applying, now is the time to do it!

How would you use the 35,000-point welcome bonus?

SPG points will obviously go through some kind of adjustment, as early as – later this year, given the merger with Marriott. There was a rumor something could happen as early as August 2018

I have about 4M spg points. Any suggestions how to hedge the inevitable devaluation of spg points? Whats the best transfer idea? I fly international a lot.

Unfortunately, there is no one “silver bullet” answer to your problem, it depends a lot of your travel goals and what you value most.

With that many points you can get really creative, like bidding on unique experiences. This guy threw out the first pitch at the World Series with his Starwood points:

Applied and accepted today. Will probably transfer points to Marriott later and use them on Marriott’s air & hotel packages for miles. Will use miles to help in the collection of miles for two RT business/first class seats to Asia.
