Act fast, because JetBlue is having a 2-day flash sale!
You can fly from several US cities to both domestic and international destinations (like Turks and Caicos!) starting at just $39 one-way in coach. But the dates and routes are fairly restrictive. And you must book by tomorrow, March 1, 2017.
I found flights from Boston to New York for only $49 one-way in coach. And a flight between Charleston, South Carolina, and New York for just $69 one-way in coach. These fares are valid for departure dates between March 8, 2017, and May 17, 2017.
Here are the details. And how to search for deals from your city!
How to Book It
Link: JetBlue Flash Sale
JetBlue has discounted certain flights from several US cities to locations like New York, Boston, Orlando, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and more!
So if you’re thinking about a last-minute getaway, check to see if your departure city is included in this sale.
You can book your flights directly on the JetBlue website. Remember, the cost of a JetBlue award flight is tied to the price of the ticket. For example, a $20 one-way flight between San Francisco and Long Beach costs just 400 JetBlue points (though you’ll have to pay taxes & fees for an award flight)!
And you have 24 hours to cancel a reservation if the flight is at least 7 days away. So even if you aren’t 100% sure about your upcoming plans, you can book a sale fare and THEN figure out if it’s doable. 😉
Ways to Earn JetBlue Points

With the no-annual-fee Barclaycard JetBlue card, you’ll earn 10,000 JetBlue points after spending $1,000 on purchases in the first 90 days of opening your account. That’s not a very good bonus, especially considering their latest promotion gets you the same number of points!
But the JetBlue Plus Card or JetBlue Business Card come with 30,000 JetBlue points (worth ~$420 in JetBlue flights) after meeting the same minimum spending requirement. Both cards have an annual fee of $99.
And folks with the JetBlue Plus Card or JetBlue Business Card from Barclaycard get a free first checked bag for themselves and up to 3 companions on the same reservation when they use their card to pay for their ticket. So these are the better cards to consider if you’ll fly JetBlue often.
If you book a sale flight, remember there are lots of ways to get cheap or free hotel rooms with points from credit card bonuses and spending.
Remember, you can transfer flexible points like Chase Ultimate Rewards or American Express Membership Rewards to different hotel programs.
Note: If you prefer to book paid stays, check out discount sites like Orbitz, Expedia, or TravelPony for deals. But remember you won’t get stay credits or points (and might not have your elite status recognized!).
Airbnb is another terrific way to save money on accommodations, especially for longer stays. Here are some tips on how to negotiate a better Airbnb price, and how to find a safe and comfortable Airbnb.
