Signing-up for credit cards through partner links earns us a commission. Here’s our full Advertising Policy.

1.   JetBlue Extends Their Schedule

Folks eager to plan their 2019 JetBlue travel can now book JetBlue flights through February 13, 2019.

Million Mile Secrets readers love JetBlue, because you get things like free Wi-Fi, extra legroom, and live TV during your flight!  Plus, they fly to lots of fun cities around the US, and several beautiful destinations south of the border!  Including Aruba, Bogota, and Cancun.

2.   Chase Ultimate Rewards Gift Card Sale

Through June 30, 2018, Chase Freedom and Sapphire cardholders can use Chase Ultimate Rewards points to buy gift cards through the Chase Ultimate Rewards Travel Portal at select merchants for up to 20% off (Chase Ink cards are NOT eligible for this sale).  Examples of available gift cards are:

  • eBay – 10% off
  • Whole Foods – 10% off
  • Athleta – 20% off
  • Google Play – 10% off

While this promotion runs through the end of June 2018, the number of available gift cards are limited, so they could sell out before then.  So jump on it if you’re interested!

But I do NOT recommend using Chase Ultimate Rewards points this way.  Because you can get more value per point by transferring to valuable Chase transfer partners.

3.   15% Bonus When You Transfer Citi ThankYou Points to Cathay Pacific

Through July 4, 2018, you’ll get a 15% bonus when you convert your Citi ThankYou points into Cathay Pacific Asia Miles.  The transfer ratio is normally 1:1.  So with this bonus, you’ll get 1,150 Asia Miles for every 1,000 ThankYou points you transfer.

We don’t talk about Asia Miles often, but they can be very valuable!  For example, you can fly one-way from Chicago to Hong Kong in coach for 42,000 Asia Miles.  So with this bonus, you can reach Hong Kong by transferring 37,000 Citi ThankYou points to Cathay Pacific (37,000 ThankYou points + 15% bonus = 42,550 Asia Miles).

If Asia Is Calling Your Name, This Transfer Bonus Is a Boon

Transferring 37,000 points for a coach seat is 3,000 miles less than Delta or United Airlines.  So if you’re sitting on a stash of Citi ThankYou points, this deal could be for you!

4.   United Airlines Online Shopping Bonus

Online shopping portals are an easy way to earn lots of bonus miles, points, or cash back on purchases you’d probably make anyway.  Nearly every airline, hotel, and bank has some kind of shopping portal to help you earn Big Travel extra quickly.

United Airlines is back with another shopping portal bonus.  You can earn up to 1,000 bonus miles when you meet tiered spending requirements:

  • Spend $150 – 500 bonus miles
  • Spend $300+ – 1,000 bonus miles

Earning miles through United Airline’s shopping portal will extend the life of your miles.  Plus, one-way domestic United Airlines flights start at 10,000 United Airlines miles.  So while 1,000 miles may not seem like much, taking advantage of promotions like this can add up quickly.  Just make sure you’re not spending money you wouldn’t spend otherwise!

This deal ends June 24, 2018.  Check out this link if you’re interested!
