If you got a fancy new cell phone over the holiday, like an iPhone XS, Google Pixel, or Samsung Galaxy, you’re loving the new features and super crisp photos. And you’ll want cell phone insurance to protect your new device.
Instead of extended warranties and paid plans like AppleCare, you can get built-in cell phone protection up to $600 just by paying your phone bill with the Ink Business Preferred Credit Card.
You’ll earn 3X Chase Ultimate Rewards points on your phone service payments. Plus, there’s an incredible sign-up bonus worth $800 in cash back or $1,000 in free travel so you can take a trip to capture new Instagram-worthy pics! 😉
Here’s how it works!
Chase Ink Business Preferred Cell Phone Insurance
The first few months with a new cell phone are so fun. You get to explore the updates, improve your workflows, and enjoy the novelty of the latest gadget.
It also gives you a mild panic attack the first time you drop it. Many manufacturers offer cell phone insurance as a monthly add-on.
When you pay your monthly phone bill with the Chase Ink Business Preferred, you can get up to $600 of protection against damage or theft, 3 times per 12-month period, after you pay a $100 deductible. That’s up to $500 back toward a replacement!
And you do NOT have to buy your phone with the card.
Coverage begins the day following your cell phone bill payment. And remains in effect until the last day of the calendar month following a payment. After that, you can make 3 claims in a 12-month period, as long as you keep paying your bill with the card.
A few rules and exclusions are:
- Lost phones are NOT covered
- Coverage only applies to you and your employees listed on your monthly cell phone bill
- Covered phones must be purchased new. Refurbished or resold phones are NOT included
Team member Keith has used this perk twice over the past year, saving a total of $264 in repairs! He saved $85 when he needed to replace the screen on his Apple iPhone 7 Plus, and another $179 for a screen replacement on his Apple iPhone X.
And he shared how to file a claim, should you ever need to use this benefit.
It’s nice to have peace of mind, especially when your phone is new!
