Update: One or more card offers in this post are no longer available. Check our Hot Deals for the latest offers.
Chase Offers to get discounts at dozens of popular merchants are finally live on the Chase mobile app. You can add Chase Offers to your cards to earn cash back when you spend within a certain timeframe at stores including Lowe’s, Staples, Starbucks, and Walgreens.
When compared to AMEX Offers, which give discounts of up to ~40% or bonus AMEX Membership Rewards points, they don’t seem as great. But one good app deserves another – and there are ways to improve Chase Offers to save even more.
This is in addition to points you earn on cards like the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card or Chase Sapphire Reserve!
I’ll share my tricks!
Improve Chase Offers With Shopping Portals & Other Apps

Chase Offers are now available to add to your cards via the Chase mobile app. And soon, they’ll make their way to the desktop website. We had high hopes for Chase Offers. But in practice, they don’t hold a candle to far better AMEX Offers. At least – yet.
I see Chase Offers on all my Chase cards. Most discounts are for 5%, 10%, or 15% off at ~40 merchants. You might see different offers or alternate merchants, as these offers are personalized based on your spending patterns.
To save money, simply click “Add to Card” and spend before the deal expires. Credits will post to your account within 7 to 14 business days.
There’s a well-rounded selection of stores and services. For example, I can save at popular places like Lowe’s, PetSmart, Staples, Walgreens, and many others.
However, I see this as a nice start. These offers are comparable to what other banks already offer, so there’s nothing new here. I’d like to see bigger discounts or extra Chase Ultimate Rewards points for my spending. AMEX Offers already does all this and has tons more shopping partners.
I hope Chase expands their offers to include better discounts and unique opportunities.
Always Start Online Purchases Through a Shopping Portal
Many of these offers explicitly say you can shop in-store or online to get the discount. If you shop online, always click through a shopping portal to earn extra cash, miles, or points!
This way, you’ll earn:
- Miles or points for spending on your Chase card
- Discounts with Chase Offers at your selected merchant
- Cash, miles, or points for clicking through a shopping portal
At Walgreens, for example, I could get:
- 1X Chase Ultimate Rewards point for spending on my Chase Sapphire Reserve card
- 10% back from Chase Offers
- Extra 4X Chase Ultimate Rewards points for clicking through the Chase shopping portal
On their own, Chase Offers are an easy way to save. And when you redeem them online, you can amp up the rewards even more.
Our favorite cash back shopping portals are:
Save In-Store With Other Apps on Your Phone
Right now, Chase Offers are only available on the Chase mobile banking app.
You can add other apps to boost your in-store savings. And you can stack many Chase Offers with in-app deals!
My favorite apps to save are:
With Dosh, Drop, and Spent, simply link a card within the app. When you spend in-store, you’ll automatically earn cash back. When you reach a minimum threshold ($25 for Dosh, $5 with Drop, and $20 with Spent), you can redeem rewards for cash in your PayPal account or for gift cards.
The best part of these apps is you can set them up once and earn automatically. I check them every so often to browse new deals.
For example, at Starbucks, I can get:
- 1X Chase Ultimate Rewards point for spending on my Chase Sapphire Reserve card
- 5% back from Chase Offers
- 12 Drop points per $1 spent with the Drop app
- 1% cash back with the Spent app
That’s an easy way to save extra money!
And the Ibotta app requires you to upload receipts with your phone camera. But if you shop in-store often, it’s a great way to save on certain items.
Ibotta also runs frequent bonus offers to earn even more cash back. You can cash out your earnings to PayPal or Venmo when you reach $20. I’ve saved $100s with this app over the past few years.
Chase Offers change frequently, and so do the offers on these apps. But when they match, you can do well to save on your in-store shopping.
Bottom Line
Chase Offers are live on the Chase mobile app! You can add them to cards including the Chase Sapphire Preferred and Chase Sapphire Reserve to earn discounts at dozens of popular merchants.
Similar deals are available through other banks. So while I hope Chase improves the quality of their offers in the future, you can save even when you shop online or in-store.
When a Chase Offer is valid online, be sure to click through a shopping portal to earn extra cash, miles, or points. And when you shop in-store, you can stack Chase Offers with apps like Dosh, Drop, Ibotta, and Spent to boost your savings. And that’s in addition to the miles or points you earn for spending on your Chase card!
These tricks will serve you well nearly any time you shop, especially online.
