You can get 50% to 75% off award bookings at select IHG Rewards hotels, starting at 10:00 am, Eastern Time, on Monday, November 18, 2013!

How to Book
You can book hotels for only 48 hours starting at 10:00 am Eastern Time on Monday, November 18, 2013. I’ll have a post on Monday to remind you when booking opens.
You can book hotels – in the US – from December 1, 2013 to December 20, 2013. So this excludes the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend.
But you can book hotels – outside the US – from November 20, 2013 to December 20, 2013.
Interesting Hotels
You can find the entire of list of hotels in this thread on the IHG website.
Here’s what looks interesting to me. But it doesn’t matter what looks interesting to me as long as YOU find something which works for you.
The InterContinental in Hong Kong, Crowne Plaza in Queenstown, the Holiday Inn in London, Holiday Inn in New York – Chelsea, are hotels which usually cost a lot of cash so this is a good way to get them for less.
Holiday Inn Express Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Holiday Inn Paris – Elysees
This is a great location in Paris and close to everything you’d want to see!
Hotel Indigo San Jose, Costa Rica

InterContinental Bali – Indonesia

Earning IHG Rewards Points
You can get IHG Rewards points by:
- Using Cash & Points to buy points for 0.7 cents per point.
- Transferring Ultimate Rewards points from your Chase Sapphire Preferred, Chase Ink Bold, or Chase Ink Plus.
- Applying for the IHG Rewards credit card for 80,000 points. It also includes a free night every year, after your 1st year which makes up for the annual fee.
Usually, transferring points from Chase Ultimate Rewards to IHG Rewards is not the best value, but it certainly could make sense for hotels on the PointsBreak list.
If you’re not averse to using the cash and points trick, you can use the cash and points trick to buy IHG Rewards points and then get a statement reimbursement of 1 cent per Ultimate Rewards points. This is a better value than redeeming Ultimate Rewards points directly for IHG Rewards points.
Bottom Line
This is a great deal if your travels takes you to any of the cities on the 24 Hour Flash Sale list.
It doesn’t hurt to make a booking using points, because you can usually cancel them without a penalty (but read the cancellation policy before booking).
I would like to have the Parking spot voucher. I use their parking at Hobby airport in Houston.thanks
2014 :O
@Jeff – I’d check on Monday to see if there are any rooms.
@Joel – Thanks!
I have need of a room in December for one night. They have rooms available, but “no rewards nights available”.
So, are there any tips or tricks (like scheduling for a different night and then adjusting the schedule, or maybe calling an agent to have them set up manually, or buying with cash and then trying to change to points?) that I might be able to use?
Or is it possible that they have rooms held back that might be available if I check in on Monday? Would help me out a ton if anybody has any suggestions. Thanks!!
