INSIDER SECRET: If you have any level of Hilton status you’ll get the fifth night free on points bookings. Hilton status is easy to earn because it comes automatically with any Hilton credit card.

If you’ve got what it takes to survive a two-hour timeshare presentation you can grab a great deal on a three-night stay in Orlando or Las Vegas for only $199 + taxes. On top of that, you’ll get 25,000 bonus Hilton points.

You should read the fine print to make sure you’re eligible and that the deal fits your travel plans. If it does, this is a great offer.

Good deal or not?

A three-night stay for $199 comes out to just under $67 a night + taxes, a great deal for only two hours of your time. The 25,000 bonus points are just gravy.

If Las Vegas or Orlando interest you, this is a great deal. I haven’t booked one of these offers before, so I’m not sure how flexible you must be to take advantage of it. Because you have a full year to book a trip, it seems likely you can find dates that work as long as you’re not planning to travel during a popular holiday or event.

Good deal or not?

This is a solid Hilton promotion. I like the no-minimum-night requirement, so even if you spend one night at Hilton during the promotion dates, you could earn double bonus points for your stay. If you stay more often can earn significantly more points, especially if you hit those 15- and 20-stay tiers

You’ll earn 10 base points per dollar spent at all Hilton hotels (Tru by Hilton and Home2 Suites only earn 5 base points per dollar), so after your second stay, you’ll earn a minimum of 20 points per dollar. You’ll also earn bonus points based on your Hilton status:

  • Silver – 20% bonus base points
  • Gold – 80% bonus base points
  • Diamond – 100% bonus base points

Elite status is easy to earn with Hilton because it’s free with any of the Amex Hilton cards:

The Hilton Aspire card also earns 14x Hilton points at participating Hilton hotels, so if you have that card, you can earn 44 Hilton points per dollar spent with participating Hilton hotels.

Called in and got offered 4 nights 5 days and 25K points. Hilton Orlando and Hilton seaworld.

I was offered this promotion when I was transferred to another call after inquiring about my points. I was given several different options:

Orlando, Vegas, Chicago, New York (2 nights only for NY)

$399 for 3 nights, plus 3 or 4 night Royal Caribbean cruise, plus 20,000 HH points.

OR

Vegas

$199 – 3 nights, plus $199 credit back on my card, plus $200 for a future stay.

There were several others, but being that we were already going to be staying at the Hilton Bonnet Creek in Orlando at the end of this month and that property was included, we chose the Orlando deal (after over an hour on the phone going over different offers).

When I called the special reservation number with my confirmation number to make my reservation for the Orlando hotel, I was told they were sold out of presentation reservations for the weekend that we needed to go (already planned with friends previously for our Anniversaries). We ended up cancelling our deal as we were hoping to use the reservation for that weekend.

I don’t think it was a bad deal at all, and we still may consider it and call back. It’s just that we were only focused on this particular trip at the time.

This is a horrid deal. Anytime you need to sit thru a time share presentation IT IS NOT WORTH IT! Never ever do that for a few hundred bucks and 25,000 Hilton points.

I think it really just depends on your schedule. I’ve had gaps in the day where I wasn’t really doing anything, and probably would have preferred to sit through a timeshare presentation to earn the cash incentive.

Just booked! I called in for more info on the properties, and it actually ended up being 5 days, 4 nights for $199 plus tax. Thanks for the heads up!

Joe,

Where was the 5 days 4 nights for?

Las Vegas! It can be used any time (depending on availability) in the next 18 months at Trump International, Elara, or two other Hilton Grand Vacation properties that I didn’t recognize.

Very nice Joe! The offer I was given for Vegas was 3 nights for $199 but we’d get back the $199 plus $200 reservation credit on another reservation. There was also an option for $249 for 3 nights with dinner and show, but none of the shows interested us.

I like your deal 🙂

Strange that the deals would be so different. I hope you found one that you eventually liked!

Glad you were able to jump in on the offer 🙂

With the timeshare promotion, I think you can do better. After doing business on the phone with Hilton, I am usually asked to “stay on the line for a special offer” which usually includes a 3 night stay at these locations for a bit more. However, in return for enduring the presentation, you get all of the money paid back and a $100 voucher to be used at any one night of a chosen Hilton brand. Sometimes they throw in a few thousand Hilton points, but not anything close to 25000.
