Here’s a nice deal for folks who know how to get a good value from Hilton points!

At 1:00 pm Eastern Time today, you can buy Hilton points for just 0.48 cents each.  There are 3 Hilton points packages you can buy:

Here’s what you need to know:

But remember, Hilton has changed their loyalty program quite a bit, and they now allow you to pool points!  So you can work around the “5 packages per member” limit by asking a friend or family member to buy packages, too.  And then you can pool all the points into your account!

If you buy the 100,000 Hilton point package, you’ll have more than enough for a night at a 5-star Hilton hotel like the Conrad Maldives, where Emily and I stayed with our families.  Or 10+ nights at a less fancy hotel, like the Hampton by Hilton Newport/East in Wales!

The Conrad Maldives Can Cost $1,000+ per Night!
Note:   Daily Getaways deals usually sell out quickly, so if you’re interested in one of these packages, be ready at your computer at 1:00 pm Eastern Time!

Is This a Good Deal?

Hilton is a large hotel brand, so there are lots of locations to choose from.  Because of this, you’ll appreciate the convenience of Hilton points! 100,000 Hilton points may sound like a lot, but Hilton points aren’t worth as much as other hotel points.  It takes more points to reserve a free Hilton night than it does with hotels like Hyatt or Starwood. Hilton does NOT have an award chart.  But hotel award nights range from 5,000 points to 95,000 points.

You can usually get ~0.5 cents in value per Hilton point when you redeem them for hotel stays.  So 100,000 Hilton points per night is equivalent to ~$500.  Though it’s possible to get MUCH more (or less) value from them!

For example, the Waldorf Astoria Park City costs $217, or 51,000 Hilton points, per night.  That means you’ll get a value of 0.42 cents per point ($217 cost of room / 51,000 Hilton points) if you redeem your points at the Waldorf Astoria Park City.

The Waldorf Astoria Park City Is a Beautiful Hotel – But NOT a Good Points Value (Unless You Book During Ski Season!)

But the Hilton Sharm Waterfalls Resort in Egypt can cost $70+, or 5,000 Hilton points, per night, giving you a value of 1.4 cents per point ($70 cost of room / 5,000 Hilton points).

You can also use the “Points and Money“ feature to stretch your miles even further.  And Hilton will give you the 5th night free when you stay 5 consecutive award nights if you have elite status!

Check out my post on all the Hilton brands to make sure you don’t overlook a chance to redeem your Hilton points!

Note:   Remember to use a card that earns bonus points for travel, like the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card or Citi Prestige.  Because when you buy packages from Daily Getaways, it codes as a travel purchase.

Bottom Line

Starting at 1:00 pm Eastern Time today you can buy Hilton points for 0.48 cents each!  Hilton points are generally worth ~0.5 cents each when you redeem them for hotel stays, but it’s possible to get much more value from them, depending on the hotel.

Let me know if you pick up a Hilton points package!
