I love to redeem points for award night stays at Hyatt hotels. Because you can pay as little as 5,000 Hyatt points for a free night. And there are plenty of fantastic hotels throughout the world to choose from.
But it can take some time searching through Hyatt’s website to find the cost of a free night at a certain hotel. Until now.
Via FlyerTalk, there’s a great new tool called Show Me the Points to easily find award night costs at Hyatt hotels in a city or region.
I’ll show how the Hyatt search tool can help you save time! And how to get the new tool!

User abcpp on FlyerTalk developed a great new tool to quickly find award night costs at Hyatt hotels.
Normally, you’d have to search individual hotels and dates. Or you’d have to reference the Hyatt award chart based on the hotel’s category.
But the new Show Me the Points tool shows you the award night cost and cash prices when you search for Hyatt hotels in a city or region.
For example, I searched Hyatt hotels in Boston.
The results show a list of hotels in Boston along with the cash and award night cost for each hotel.
Normally, you’d just see a list with the cash cost of rooms at each hotel. Then, you’d have to click through each hotel to find the award night cost.
Having the search tool can be a tremendous time saver. It’s similar to the website trick to easily find available room nights using Points + Cash.
And Show Me the Points can be extremely helpful if you’re only looking to spend a certain amount of Hyatt points. Because you can scroll through the list of hotels to find the one that meets your budget!
How to Get the New Hyatt Search Tool
Link: Google Chrome Web Store
You’ll need to install a 3rd-party program in your web browser to access the Hyatt search tool. At the moment, the tool is only compatible with Google Chrome.
Note: The search tool was NOT created by Hyatt. Some folks might not be comfortable installing a 3rd-party add-on to their web browser.
To install, visit the Google Chrome Web Store and search “Show Me the Points.”
You’ll see the Show Me the Points Tool listed under Extensions.
The final step is to just add the extension to your Google Chrome browser.
The Show Me the Points Tool only works when you’re on Hyatt’s website. It can’t collect any personal information.
Installing the Show Me the Points tool only takes a minute. I plan to use it when searching for award nights at Hyatt hotels!
Drawbacks of Show Me the Points Tool
The Show Me the Points tool is not designed to show you if an award night room is available. It just shows the cost of an award night.
For example, I searched hotels in New York for a 1-night stay.
But when I try to book an award night, I see there are no available award night rooms.
Confirming if award rooms are available on the search results page would be a great feature for Show Me the Points to have in the future!
In the meantime, you can use tools like Hotel Hustle to search if award nights are available.
Also remember, when Hyatt says rooms aren’t available, there’s still hope!
Show Me the Points is an amazing tool to save time finding award night costs at Hyatt hotels like Andaz, Grand Hyatt Hyatt, Hyatt House, Hyatt Place, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Zilara and Hyatt Ziva (all inclusive), and Park Hyatt.
The tool was created by a 3rd-party and only works with Google Chrome.
You won’t be able to confirm available award night rooms using Show Me the Points. I’d recommend using Hotel Hustle if you want to search for available award nights.
And if you need more Hyatt points, remember there are plenty of ways to earn them!
Have you tried Show Me the Points? Let me know what you think!
