If you’re looking for an affordable getaway, Frontier Airlines flights are on sale for as low as $39 for 1-way.

But you’ll have to book by June 5, 2015, (tomorrow!) by 11:59 pm Eastern Time.  Most of the sale fares are for travel from June 13, 2015, to October 20, 2015.

But Southwest is also having a sale with 1-way flights as low as $49, so which 1 is better?

What’s the Deal?

Link:  Frontier Airlines Sale

Frontier Airlines 1-way flights are on sale for as low as $39 through tomorrow, June 5, 2015, at 11:59 pm Eastern Time.

The travel dates for most cities are June 13, 2015, to October 20, 2015.  But Fridays and Sundays are excluded.  So this deal won’t work for folks looking for a quick weekend getaway.

For example, I found a flight from Phoenix to Denver ~$39 each way from July 11, 2015, to July 18, 2015.

I also found a flight from Atlanta to Philadelphia from October 10, 2015, to October 17, 2015, for $39 each way.

Which Sale Is Better – Frontier Vs. Southwest

Frontier Airlines has 1-way flights on sale for just $39.  And Southwest has fares as low as $49 through June 4, 2015, (Thursday).  Let’s take a look at which deal can save you more!

Both airlines have flights from Atlanta to Philadelphia on sale.  With Frontier Airlines these 1-way flights are as low as $39.  And Southwest currently has them starting at $99 each way.

But Frontier Airlines charges fees on things like checked bags, carry-on bags that go in the overhead bin, and seat selection.  This can decrease your savings!

On Frontier Airlines a Checked Bag Can Cost $25 and a Carry-On Bag Can Cost $40

With Southwest everyone gets 2 checked bags and 1 carry-on bag and personal item for free.

So the final price will depend a lot on how you pack!

Plus, with Southwest you can cancel up to 10 minutes before your flight and get a credit to use towards another flight (good for up to 1 year).

And if you have the Southwest Companion Pass, a friend can fly with you for (almost) free.  This gives you double the value!
