You can get a 1% rebate on purchases of $200 or more at Staples when you use your enrolled Visa business card.

When Staples leaves the Visa SavingsEdge program, is it still worth buying Visa gift cards at Staples? Let’s take a look.

Link: Visa SavingsEdge 1% Rebate at Staples
You earn 1% cash back on purchases of at least $200 at Staples using your registered Visa business cards through the Visa Savings Edge program through December 31, 2014.

Most Visa business cards are eligible:
- Club Carlson Business card
- Chase Ink Bold
- Chase Ink Business Cash Credit Card
- Chase Ink Plus
- Southwest Premier Business card
- United Explorer Business card
- US Bank Flex Perks Business card
And similar to AMEX Offers the cash back automatically appears on your statement!
Is It Still Worth Buying Visa Gift Cards at Staples?
You can buy $200 Visa gift cards for a fee of ~$7 at Staples which can be loaded to your Bluebird card to pay bills which normally can’t be paid with a credit card.
When you use your Ink Bold, Ink Cash, or Ink Plus card at Staples you earn 5X Chase Ultimate Rewards points which can be transferred to airlines and hotels:

Emily and I use Chase Ultimate Rewards points to get Big Travel for Small Money. If you do the same, it could make sense to spend ~$7 to get ~1,035 Chase Ultimate Rewards points (~$207 for the Visa Gift Card X 5 points per $1 spent at office supply stores.)
That’s because those 1,035 Chase Ultimate Rewards points are worth ~$20 in travel when you transfer to partner airlines and hotels. But even as a statement credit, 1,035 Chase Ultimate Rewards points are worth ~$10.
Some folks might find it convenient to buy these gift cards at Staples.com while other folks have different methods to load Bluebird that they like better.
As always, do what’s comfortable for you!
Other Ways to Save Money on Visa Gift Cards at Staples
Because Staples frequently offers rebates when you buy gift cards it makes sense to keep buying them at Staples.
Bottom Line
