Some people are getting an email offer to earn $15 or $25 cash back (1,500 to 2,500 Chase Ultimate Rewards points) for making 3 purchases with their Chase Freedom card through Google Pay during April 2019.
It’s likely that if you’ve already loaded or used your Freedom card with Google Pay that you won’t be targeted. I wasn’t eligible, but my Freedom card was already added to Google Pay. If you don’t want to miss deals like this in the future, subscribe to our newsletter.
Earn Bonus Chase Ultimate Rewards Points With Google Pay
There is no direct link to this deal. But if you didn’t get an email you might be able to qualify if you download the Google Pay app and add your Chase Freedom card to the app by taking a picture of it. You must add your card this way in order to qualify.
To earn the bonus, just make 3 purchases from April 1 to 30, 2019. Google Pay is accepted in 100s of physical stores, but for it to work they will need to have a contactless card reader. You can also use Google Pay to make all sorts of online payments. I use it to make YouTube purchases.
Don’t forget that the 2nd quarter 5X bonus categories for the Chase Freedom card are grocery and home improvement stores. And if you make these purchases with Google Pay it should qualify for both bonuses. But I’ve never actually tested it out myself, so if you have and can verify that you earn the 5X bonus on eligible Google Pay, transactions let me know in the comments and I’ll add it to the post.
Right now it doesn’t look like other Chase cards like the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card or Chase Sapphire Reserve® have been targeted for this deal.
