Earn United Airlines Miles and Amazon Gift Cards With Softcard
Link: Softcard app (Android)
Softcard (formerly ISIS Wallet) is an Android app that lets you pay for purchases with your smartphone.
Existing ISIS Wallet iPhone users can use Softcard. But if you did NOT create an ISIS Wallet iPhone account before September 16, 2014, you can NOT use Softcard.
You can add your participating credit cards, your Serve account, and grocery store and merchant loyalty cards to Softcard.
Participating credit cards include:
- All American Express personal and OPEN business cards
- Chase Freedom
- Chase Sapphire
- Chase Slate
- JP Morgan Palladium
- Chase United MileagePlus Explorer
- Wells Fargo Visa credit card
Only cards belonging to the primary cardholder can be added to Softcard. So you can NOT add authorized user to Softcard.
Here are this month’s Softcard offers:
1. $1 Back on Each Purchase (up to $50 a month)
You can get a $1 statement credit (up to $50) each month on your Serve account for each purchase of $1 or more (except transit and parking charges) through December 31, 2014.
I can’t wait to save money by using Softcard to fill up the car with gas at Chevron (a Softcard gas station) by purchasing $1 worth of gas 50X in a row! 🙂
2. 2,500 United Airlines Miles for Linking & Using UnitedPlus Card
You can get 2,500 United Airlines miles after you link and pay with your UnitedPlus Explorer card by February 28, 2015.
You’ll get an additional 500 United Airlines miles every month you use Softcard with your UnitedPlus Explorer card through February 28, 2015. This means you can earn 4,000 United Airlines miles (2,500 United Airlines miles for linking and using your UnitedPlus Explorer card + 500 United Airlines miles each month: December, January, and February.)
3. $10 Amazon Gift Card for Every 5 Uses of Softcard
You can get a $10 Amazon gift card after using Softcard to pay for 5 purchases with the same participating credit card through December 31, 2014.
There’s a limit of three $10 Amazon gift cards for each participating credit card. But you can use up to 5 participating credit cards. This means you could earn $150 in Amazon gift cards ($10 Amazon gift cards x 3 (per credit card) x 5 (maximum participating cards).
You can NOT use your Serve card for this offer.
What I Don’t Like
Emily and I haven’t used Softcard yet, but here are a couple of things you should know.
Possible Cash Advance Fees
There are conflicting reports on Flyertalk that Chase is coding loads to Serve as cash advances. You can set your cash advance limit to $0 to avoid possible cash advance fees.
Data and Messaging Charges
Softcard is free to use, but because payment information is transmitted using your smartphone, you could pay data and messaging fees. So if you have a limited data or texting plan, you could pay more in fees than any miles or gift cards you’ll earn.

How much have you “earned” using Softcard?
