Via Reddit, you can earn $200 cash back after spending $500 on purchases in the first 90 days of opening a Major League Baseball BankAmericard Cash Rewards Mastercard

That’s a nice bonus for a card with very low minimum spending and no annual fee!

We don’t earn a commission on this card, but we always share the best deals with our readers!

Earn $200 Cash Back With the BankAmericard Cash Rewards MasterCard!

This could be a good option if you already have a lot of cash back cards.  But I do NOT recommend these cards if you’re new to miles & points.  I’ll explain!

Here’s the Deal

Link:   MLB BankAmericard Cash Rewards MasterCard

With the Major League Baseball BankAmericard Cash Rewards MasterCard, you’ll earn $200 cash back after spending $500 on purchases within the first 90 days of opening your account.

And you’ll get a 10% bonus if you redeem your rewards into a Bank of America checking or savings account.  The minimum redemption amount is $25.

The usual bonus is $100.  And this is a better deal than the Visa version of the card, which also earns $100 cash back after completing the same minimum spending requirement.

With this MasterCard you’ll earn:

Note:   Superstores and smaller stores (like drugstores and convenience stores) that sell groceries and other products do NOT qualify as grocery stores.  And superstores that sell gasoline don’t qualify either.

You can show your team spirit by customizing your card with your favorite MLB team logo!

Who Should Consider This Card?

If you’re new to miles & points, I do NOT recommend getting this card.  Because there are better travel rewards cards available from Chase.

And with Chase’s stricter approval rules, you don’t want to disqualify yourself from being approved for their cards by applying for offers that aren’t as valuable.

Also, Chase offers cards with similar bonuses to the MLB BankAmericard Cash Rewards MasterCard, like the Chase Freedom and Freedom Unlimited.

Wholesale Club Spending

I like that the wholesale club bonus with the Major League Baseball BankAmericard Cash Rewards MasterCard.  That said, Costco only accepts Visa in-store.

For that reason, those of y’all who are Costco members can do well with the Freedom card because it’s a Visa.

And through December 31, 2016, with the Chase Freedom card, you can earn 5 Chase Ultimate Rewards points (5% cash back) per $1 on up to $1,500 in spending each quarter at wholesale clubs, like Costco, when you register.

MLB Card Is Strictly Cash Back, Freedom Card Is More Flexible

The main reason I like the Freedom or Freedom Unlimited card is because when you pair them with the Chase Sapphire Preferred, Ink Plus, or Ink Bold (no longer available), you can transfer the Chase Ultimate Rewards points you earn to amazing travel partners like Hyatt and United Airlines for Big Travel!

If you have all of the Chase cards you want, already have other cash back cards with more lucrative bonus spending categories, or are looking for a good sign-up bonus with low spending, you might consider the MLB BankAmericard Cash Rewards MasterCard.

It could also be a good choice if you already have lots of cards with other banks, because some folks don’t have many Bank of America cards!
