Delta plans to launch a new route to Japan from its hub in Seattle.

According to Delta, they’re adding a nonstop flight to Osaka beginning April 1, 2019.  But you can book your tickets starting today!

Osaka Is Vibrant and Flashy.  And You Can Get There for Practically Free With Delta Miles

The plane will have “25 fully flat-bed seats in Delta One, 29 seats Delta Comfort+, and 171 seats in the Main Cabin.”  So there will be plenty of award seats for all you miles & points enthusiasts out there!

Here’s what you’ll pay:

  • Coach seat – 40,000 Delta miles one-way
  • Delta Comfort+ – 50,000 Delta miles one-way
  • Delta One (lie-flat seats) – 90,000 Delta miles one-way

At the moment, there are plenty of seats in every cabin at these prices.  However, you CAN reach Osaka for slightly cheaper with a stop.  For example, Seattle to Osaka in coach with a connection in Seoul costs 35,000 Delta miles instead of 40,000 Delta miles.  And the same flight in Delta One will cost 85,000 Delta miles instead of 90,000 miles.

If you want more Delta miles, you can earn lots by opening any of the following cards and earning their welcome bonus after meeting minimum spending:

Remember, with AMEX, you can only earn the welcome bonus ONCE per person, per lifetime on each card.  So if you’ve had one of these cards before, you can’t receive the welcome bonus on that particular card again.
