Delta has frequent award sales & promotions.  So if you don’t want to miss the next one, subscribe to our daily newsletter.

Delta is running two official sales this week with:

  • Discounts to popular skiing destinations starting at $119 or 9,000 miles one-way
  • Discounted domestic flights from 12,000 miles round-trip

Taxes and fees for all of these flights are $5.60 per one-way.

If you don’t have enough Delta miles to take advantage of these cheap awards, here’s how you can earn them to be ready for next time!  Or if you have an AMEX Delta card, you might be able to borrow the miles you need to book an award and earn them back later.

Delta wants you to get your skis ready with this sale to popular Winter destinations

Delta Domestic Award Sale February 2019

Book by:   February 13, 2019

Travel dates:   April 1 to May 18, 2019, but I found discounts that extended far beyond these dates.

You can fly round-trip on the following routes:

Some of these routes are sightly cheaper than advertised.  I noticed the Raleigh to Nashville flight was pricing out at 12,000 miles.  You can check out the official Delta award sale page for these deals here.

If you need more Delta miles, you can earn miles toward these flights with any of these cards:

But currently some of these Delta card offers aren’t as high as they have been in the past, so you could earn AMEX Membership Rewards points, which transfer to Delta at a 1:1 ratio:

Just remember, you won’t earn the welcome bonus in time for this particular award sale.  But if you apply now, you’ll be ready the next time a good deal comes around!
