Don’t Live Near New York? Get There for Cheap!
You can use your miles to get to New York for close to free!
Here’s a few ways you can get there:
- United Airlines – There are lots of ways to earn United Airlines miles. Including transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards points to United Airlines. If you need help with booking a United Airlines award flight, check out my post on how to use United Airlines miles.
- Southwest – If you need more Southwest points, Chase Ultimate Rewards points transfer to Southwest. Plus, if you have the Southwest Companion Pass, a friend can fly with you for (almost) free!
- British Airways – If you’re a short flight away from New York, you can save miles by using British Airways Avios points to book an award flight on American Airlines. Chase Ultimate Rewards points , American Express Membership Rewards points, and Starwood Preferred Guest points transfer to British Airways.

If you don’t want to use miles, check sites like Google Flights, Orbitz, and Expedia for cheap fares!
And once you arrive in Paris, there are discount airlines that can get you around Europe.
Use Your Hotel Points to Stay in Paris for Free!

With hotel points you earn from stays and credit card sign-up bonuses you can book free hotels. Hotel Hustle and AwardMapper can help you find award nights in Paris.

You can use points you earn with hotels such as Hilton and Hyatt. Or transfer flexible points like Chase Ultimate Rewards or American Express Membership Rewards to hotel partners.

And if you want to book paid hotel stays you can save money on sites like Orbitz, Expedia, or TravelPony. However, keep in mind, you typically won’t earn hotel points or get hotel elite status benefits when you book through these 3rd-party sites.
You can also find affordable accommodations through Airbnb. This is a great way to get a feel for how the locals live!

Let us know if you’re able to get in on this deal!
I tried to book BA and Virgin, business class using points or monry. Doesn’t make sense as they add the price of another ticket..like 1300. I fuel charges and taxes to a ticket that includes return from England
I tried to book two tix in July, but the total is twice as much even though in one place it says it is inclusive of carrier fees, when toal come up it is over 5k
If booked now is there a date it has to be used by? I wouldn’t be traveling till late spring 2016. And would my husband be able to use our AA miles combined(we each have a card) to buy his flight so we travel together because brithish airways uses AAmiles as well correct? And are there surcharges for fuel? Sorry about all the questions but Thanks for the info.
