[I do NOT get a referral for any of the credit cards below.  #1 & #2 below are better offers than my current referral links.]

1.   Chase Freedom $200.  The best current offer for the Chase Freedom is for $100 or 10,000 Ultimate Rewards points which is the same offer available through my referral links.

But Online Travel Review found two links to the Chase Freedom for $200 or 20,000 Ultimate Rewards points which still work.  As always, I updated the Bank Points Travel Credit Card tab as soon as I found out about the better links.

Update:  Online Travel Review writes that you can a $300 Chase Freedom by calling Chase.

I like the Chase Freedom because their rotating 5% categories are a great way for most folks to earn extra Ultimate Rewards points.

2.   American Express Delta – 30,000 Points & $50 Statement Credit.   Million Mile Secrets readers Steve (thanks!) commented with a link to a better Delta American Express offer.  The regular Delta American Express Gold card offers 30,000 miles after spending $500 within 3 months.

But Steve found a link which also offers 30,000 miles as well as a $50 statement credit after a purchase from Delta (and which appears as originating from Delta).  I’ve updated the Airline Travel Credit Cards tab with a link to this offer.

Personally, I don’t think much of 30,000 Delta miles and haven’t applied for this card.  Perhaps I’ll have to recalibrate my expectations soon, but for now, a $50 statement doesn’t do it for me.

But if you were going to apply for a Delta card, this offer could get you an extra $50.  Don’t forget to check your personalized targeted Delta offer for a potentially better offer as well.

3.   Chase Fairmont – 2 Free Nights.   Million Mile Secrets reader Mike (thanks!) sent me a link to the Chase Fairmont credit card.  I’ve update the Hotel Travel Credit Card tab with a link to this card.

Fairmont owns luxury hotels mainly in the US and Canada, but also has hotels around the world.  Here’s a link to their different hotels around the world.

The new Chase Fairmont credit card offers 2 free nights, including breakfast, at any Fairmont hotel worldwide after spending $1,000 within 3 months for a $95 annual fee which is waived for the 1st year.

Fairmont has some very nice & expensive hotels (some are castles), so you can get some Big Travel with Small Money with the 2 free nights.  For example, the Fairmont, Le Montreux Palace in Switzerland sells for ~$540 a night.

You also get a free night every year after spending $12,000 in the year.  I don’t see this as a great benefit, because you get a free night, with NO spending, with the Chase Priority Club card, a free night at a category 1 to 4 Hyatt with the Chase Hyatt card, and a free night at a category 1 to 5 Marriott with the Chase Marriott card.

Like the other Chase hotel credit cards, there are no foreign transaction fees.  You also get 2 free airport lounge passes worth $27 each and membership.

You also get Fairmont Premier status (1 free room and suite upgrade on paid stays) by having the card, and Fairmont elites get dining certificates.

Big Spenders can buy 2 Fairmont stay credits for $7,500 each in spending on the card.  You earn 5 points per $1 spent at Fairmont, 2 points per $1 on air, car rental, and transit and commuting, and 1 point per $1 spent elsewhere.

Too bad this card is from Chase, which seems to have all the best offers!  I wonder how soon it will be before Fairmont is added as an Ultimate Rewards partner.

Is it possible to get a second fairmont or Hyatt card as a business card?

Million Mile Secrets

@Diane – I don’t believe so since they verify your Fairmont or Hyatt account number.

Question: would I be able to use/keep the 2 free nights from the Fairmont card if i cancelled the card before using them?

Million Mile Secrets

@tom – I don’t have personal experience, but if the free nights are in your Fairmont account, they should be yours to use.

Daraius , I appreciate all your posts! Was approved for the 30k Chase $500 spend deal over weekend. This is my 4th Chase card I have applied for since end of January. Not to mention I have the Chase Southwest RR. Thanks to your help, I have gotten the below cards:

– Sapphire Preferred (50k @$3k spend)

– United MP Explorer (50k @ first purchase plus extra 5k & $50 credit for matching previous Chase offer)

– Ink Bold ($50k @ $5k spend + Chase matched expired 60k offer giving 10k UR before I met spend min)

– Chase Freedom (30k @ $500 spend) – I did have to shift around credit lines

Not to mention, I took the Hyatt Platinum challenge for 90 days. Plan to apply for the Hyatt Chase for 2 free nights, 2 free suite upgrades & $75 credit in June. I will most likely have to give up Chase Southwest which I do not need since I have Ultimate Rewards.

Million Mile Secrets

@Curtis – Thanks for the update!

@JP – Very well done and thanks for sharing!

The 30k chase deal over the phone is DEAD. Worked for me Sat but tried to call just now for a family member and there is a message saying the offer is no longer available over the phone and to go on line to see what offers there are. boo!

I called Chase using the the DN5M code and had a similar response to Drew (I was getting 10,000 points as I applied through a regular online link). Should have read all the comments first – only read the comments on OTR. Is it advisable to call back and just try for the 20,000? Or am I out of luck?

Also – Daraius – you might want to remove the link if it’s no good.
