Fun news for folks flying with Delta!  Soon they’ll be the only US airline to offer ALL of their in-flight entertainment for free.  This includes new movie releases and premium channels, like HBO & Showtime!

You’ll even be able to stream entertainment right to your laptop, tablet, or phone, for free too!

Coming This Summer Delta Offering New Movie Releases Premium Channels For FREE
Soon Delta Will Offer New Movie Releases and Premium Channels for FREE on Almost All of Their Flights. And You’ll Be Able to Stream It Directly to Your Mobile Device Too!

Free Premium In-Flight Entertainment on Most Delta Flights

Delta announced that by July 1, 2016, they’ll stop charging for new movie releases and premium channels on almost all of their flights!

Now, you’ll be able to watch live TV and catch news and sports games on some of Delta’s planes!

Not only that, you’ll be able to stream your entertainment for free, directly to your laptops, mobile devices and tablets.

And of course, get free access to premium movies and TV shows on planes that are already equipped with seat-back screens!

Currently, Delta is the only US airline to offer on-demand entertainment to everyone on their long-haul international flights.  And they also have the world’s largest Wi-Fi equipped fleet.  So they’re definitely trying to impress folks!

Singing the JetBlues

Maybe Delta is trying to catch up to JetBlue’s popular in-flight entertainment system.  They give folks free satellite TV and streaming radio on all their flights.

It’s definitely one of the reasons JetBlue consistently ranks as the #1 low-cost airline in the US for customer satisfaction!

Looking for More Delta Miles for Your Trip?

I know many of y’all are considering the AMEX Delta cards because of the increased sign-up bonuses that are good through July 6, 2016.

For folks who like to fly Delta on long-haul flights to places like Europe and Hawaii, these higher welcome bonuses can help you get there for nearly free!

And now you’ll also get a better entertainment selection, whether you fly in the big fancy seats or in coach!

The 3 Delta Cards Have Increased Their Welcome Bonuses

You can earn 50,000 Delta miles after spending $2,000 on purchases in the first 3 months of account opening with the AMEX Gold Delta SkyMiles personal and small business cards.

And with the personal version of the card, you’ll get $100 statement credit when you make a Delta purchase in the first 3 months of opening your account.  Or a $50 statement credit with the business version when you make a purchase in the same timeframe.

With the AMEX Platinum Delta card, you’ll earn 60,000 Delta miles and 10,000 Medallion qualification miles after spending $2,000 on purchases in the first 3 months of opening your account.

And if you make a Delta purchase in the first 3 months of account opening, you’ll earn a $100 statement credit.

I’m excited that Delta is helping folks pass the time while flying with more free entertainment!

This has probably been asked before on the site so forgive me if this is redundant. I’m looking to get my girlfriend involved in credit card miles, but have heard it’s best to wait until November because that’s when they tend to offer the best sign up perks. Has anyone found this to be true, or does it not really matter?
