If you’re a fan of Choice Hotels, the upcoming Daily Getaways deal is for you!

Starting today, at 1:00 pm Eastern Time, you can buy Choice hotel points at a big discount.  Depending on the package you choose, you can buy Choice points for between 0.4 and 0.45 cents each!  Choice normally sells points for 1.1 cents each on the Choice website, so this is a steal.

Today, at 1:00 pm Eastern Time, folks can buy Choice hotel points at a big discount!

Daily Getaways markets this deal as “free nights” at certain Choice hotel brands, but you’re really just buying different amounts of points.  You’ll have the option to buy in 4 quantities.  And the amount you save depends on the amount you buy:

Choice points normally sell for 1.1 cents each, so this is a great deal!  It’s even better than the recent 40% bonus promotion, which ended a few days ago.

Plus, you are limited to buying 50,000 Choice points per calendar year through the Choice website.  So if you want to buy more Choice points, this Daily Getaways sale is a good workaround!  Because you can still buy this deal even if you’ve already bought 50,000 Choice points.

Note:   Each Choice Privileges member is limited to 2 packages.  Also, there are between ~200 and ~300 packages available for each quantity, so they may sell out quickly!  Make sure you’re at your computer at 1:00 pm Eastern Time if you’re interested in buying Choice points.

Is This a Good Deal for Your Situation?

Choice Hotels are generally cheap and family-friendly, and you’ll find them in small towns where other hotel chains have no locations.  So it’s a good hotel brand for folks who travel to non-touristy destinations (visiting family for holidays, road tripping, etc.).

Many hotels have free breakfast, swimming pools, and large rooms with refrigerators and microwaves.  And they usually provide free Wi-Fi!

But you don’t just have to stick to budget hotels with Choice points. You can also book incredible 5-star stays through Preferred Hotels!

Choice does NOT have an award chart, but award nights range from 6,000 to 35,000 Choice points per night (though some are higher in Australasia).

You can also book award nights using points & cash, but it’s not always the best deal.  And Preferred Hotels can cost up to 60,000 points per night.

So 40,000 Choice points could be worth 6 free nights at lower-end Choice locations.  Or you can splurge on a free night at a 5-star Preferred Hotel!

Choice points can be especially handy in Europe, and particularly Scandinavian countries like Sweden or Norway.  For example, you can book the Comfort Hotel Grand Central, which can sell for $250+ per night, for just 16,000 points.  That’s a value of ~1.56 cents per point ($250 per night / 16,000 points).

Note:   Remember to use a card that earns bonus points for travel, like the Chase Sapphire Preferred or Citi Prestige.  Because when you buy packages from Daily Getaways, it codes as a travel purchase!

Bottom Line

If you’re interested in buying Choice hotel points, be ready at 1:00 pm Eastern Time today!

With today’s Daily Getaways deal, you can buy Choice points for between 0.4 and 0.45 cents each, depending on how many you buy.  That’s over 50% off what the Choice website sells them for!

Let me know if you pick up some Choice points!

I signed in at 1:00:02 and could not connect to any of the deals. They were all sold out within 12 minutes.

How much are their points using the Cash+Points-and-Cancel trick?
