You can earn a quick 750 Southwest points by verifying your Southwest account (if you receive an email asking you to verify your account) by May 23, 2014!

Southwest and AirTran are completing their merger November 2, 2014.  Verifying your account will help them combine your accounts.

Check Your Email Earn 750 (~$11) Southwest Points When You Verify Your Southwest Account
Verifying Your Account Only Takes a Few Seconds!

Southwest points are worth ~1.42 cents per point.  So 750 Southwest points are worth ~$11 (750 Southwest Points x 1.42 cents per point) in Southwest travel.  I don’t mind making ~$11  for a few seconds worth of work!

According to the fine print at the bottom of the email, the points you earn do NOT count towards the Companion Pass.

How to Get the Points

Step 1 – Check Your Email

Check your inbox for an email from “aplusrewards@go.airtran.com” with the link to verify your account.

I had not gotten around to doing it until today. I went to search for the e-mail and found my e-mail program had eaten it. I contacted customer support and was told that since the e-mail was computer generated they could not help me by send a new one, nor could they send me a link. She did say it MAY come up again. I am disappointed with this as I have had both accounts for years, and quiet a few points in both. Let’s hope they send out another e-mail.

I did this over a week ago and the points have not shown up. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to post? Or whether I should be having a little chat with the airline…

Never got the email. Now what?

I have an AirTran account, but not a RapidRewards account and got the following email….

If you have not already joined Rapid Rewards, you can take advantage of an exclusive, limited time promotion to earn up to 2,500 Rapid Rewards Points**

…earn 2,000 points just for enrolling. Then opt in to receive Rapid Rewards e-mails for an extra 250 points each.

Yes thanks for the post. Had to search in my spam!
