Right now there are lots of exceptional cheap Business Class tickets to Australia and New Zealand.  You can book round-trip flights for less than $1,500 to Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

All of these flights are from Chicago, but getting to the windy city cheaply is easy because all the major airlines fly there, including Southwest.  So if you’ve got the Southwest Companion Pass, you’ll save even more.

How to Book These Cheap Business Class Flights

These cheap fares are mainly available from March to September 2019.  Although some of the deals do fall outside of these dates.

There are deals for round-trip Business Class flights from Chicago to:

I was able to easily find these prices on Google Flights and Priceline for $1,500 or less.  But Secret Flying was able to pull up deals as low as ~$1,270, although at first glance it looks like those prices are for far fewer dates.

When fares this low pop-up, it can make sense to pay with points for your flights.  You could end up paying fewer points compared to booking an award ticket.  And you’ll even earn frequent flyer miles while you’re at it!

For example, if you have the:

Or

You can pay for airfare with the points you’ve with the card for 1.5 cents per point.  So the cheapest flights will set you back only ~84,667 points with either card (~$1,270 airfare / 1.5 cents per point)!

To get that value you’ll need to be able to book the flights through the Chase Travel Portal or the US Bank travel site.  And with this deal, I wasn’t able to get the cheapest prices to show up in the Chase Travel Portal.  I only did a quick search, so it’s possible the deals are lurking in there somewhere, but I doubt it.

Let me know in the comments if you booked a flight and whether or not you were able to get the deals to show up in the Chase Travel Portal or any other bank travel portal.
